Correct fit and holds up to rough off-road conditions
Needed to get a mount for my Spot GEN3 for when not mounted on myself. Bracket worked well and had no problems with it over a 3800mile off-road trip. I would recommend this for sure.

Secure Hold. Great Access to Controls
Typical great fit and quality from RAM. The Spot Gen 3 controls are all accessible with the device installed in the cradle. And there’s access as well to the port to plug in external power, which I did. Security of the hold is great and I never gave it a second thought. The roller feature makes it very easy to put in and take out. Great cradle.

Functional, except....
Holds the G3 well. My Spot II cradle would have worked but not quite as elegantly as this version. One nit is that the roller holder on top covers the status lights for "power" "GPS" and "Mail". I made a workaround by sticking a couple of pieces of Velcro to the cradle under the top of the G3 to force it out enough that the status lights are uncovered. Doesn't seem to compromise retention, but I have the G3 security strap clipped to the Ram mount as a backup. My G3 is mounted on a KTM Adventure and has to put up with lots of vibration and g-forces when offroad.
