I bought this when my Pioneer VSX-1121 stopped detecting the mic that was included with the receiver. Even though I was able to calibrate my system without issue until this year, this mic immediately detected that the volume on my sub was too low, and that 4 of my speakers were wired wrong! A bit concerning, but everything does sound wonderful. Maybe it's an indication that my original mic has been failing for years. Either way, I'm happy with the results.

Somewhere in this house I have my original Samsung home theater system extended speaker that will help you calibrate your 5.1 channel system with the area that you're listening in. I lost it and I found this on Amazon and I bought it and put it to work and it works fine so if you've got a similar system 5.1 channel stereo and you want to calibrate it for the room that's sitting in if it came with one you'll need this standard phone plug Jack works perfectly.

The microphone performed as promised and my DG-600 is calibrated. I couldn't ask for any more.

These tend to be good for about 2 uses and then break somehow. I used a multimeter to test the resistance and it seems like my old one is still alive, but the Sony receiver (STR-DH590) doesn't recognize it after 2 uses. This new one worked, but I dont have high hopes for its longevity. $30 seems like its WAY overpriced for what this actually is.

Noticable difference in audio quality when tuned with these. I tried tuning myself and nothing came out as good. I did push sub distance back 1 ft after adjustment because I like when bass rumbles at me, felt slightly too far back with auto calibration

This mic worked like the factory one.
