Great hybrid watch. Mesh wrist strap is great.
Arrived as described. This watch was easy to use and the app that controls it is very simple. It also has a pedometer that you can read on the watchface.I love that this is not a touch screen and I don't have to charge it every day. The alerts for the watch are easy to program so you still know if you are getting a call, text, dm, or whatever you choose. The three buttons on the side can be programmed to do different things. I have mine programmed to play/pause music and also to activate the stopwatch function on the watch.I love the mesh wrist strap. I've had one before and this one is just as comfortable.I really love that this looks and feels like other Fossil watched I've had, but this has smartwatch functions. Beautiful. 10/10 would buy again.

Would Rate 4.5 Stars
Excellent quality overall, 10/10 looks, app works well, and clasp isn't bad.Only small issues: Bezel could be thinner, there should be a shortcut to swap between button presets, and the watch face could have included the 4th and 5th hour mark still.

Great looking Hybrid watch!
Great looking watch! I love it. The seller appeared to keep in pristine condition. Love the hybrid look of classic watch with creative ways to implement smart watch technology.

Not for men with hair on their arms... so... men.
I owned this for about 18 hours. In that time, I winced in pain at least 50 times, including the time I spent asleep. Not sure exactly what was wrong with the design, but it felt like every time I moved, I was losing arm hair to little pinchy bits on the watch band. Other bands would probably be better. Also, when I ordered this I was stressed out trying to pre-plan which options I would set to the buttons, but when it came down to it, none of them really seemed that great.Lastly, the watch face is MASSIVE. This watch is so heavy it's hard to use.Design is lovely though! If you have thick, hairless wrists and can figure out which settings you want, it would be well worth it! I'm disappointed it didn't work out for me.

Not as good as I had hoped, but still nice
I love the idea of this hybrid smart watch, I love the looks and feel of it, and everything about it that works correctly is really nice. However, this is way more expensive than any other watch I've owned, so I was expecting the best quality... but there are several issues. The time is off for the sleep tracking so the logs in the app say I went to bed and woke up an hour after I actually did, which isn't a "problem," but it's not right and there's no way to fix it. The step tracking seemed lower than what my Fitbit used to say, then suddenly it spiked really high for two days and I didn't do anything different with my day, so, not sure how accurate it is. Then recently it stopped telling time right and I had to remove and re-insert the battery to get it working again. And any time I get a notification from an app or person that I didn't assign a number to, the watch points at the number of the last assigned person that I got a call or message from, resulting in a ton of "false positives" where I think I got a text from my wife or parents or siblings, pull my phone out, and it's some useless notification. So, all in all, I like it, but I could like it a lot more. Fortunately all the issues seem like software issues so hopefully an update in the future just fixes them all.

Great compromise
I can't have a true smart watch where I work. This is awesome. It allows me to keep my phone in my pocket 90% of the time. I only pull it when the notification is someone important.

A good model for somebody wanting the look and feel of a classic watch with some smartwatch features and functionality.
Can you ever have too many watches? IMHO, the answer is no. ;-)Somehow I've managed to gather a rather large collection of watches with black bands and watch faces, but nothing stainless. Fossil to the rescue. The first thing your'e going to want to do after unboxing your watch is adjust the strap. Fossil has a detailed video tutorial to help you accomplish this with ease. Search for the following video on YouTube: How To: Adjust Your Fossil Mesh Watch Strap.Next get your smartphone and install the Fossill Q app. After the installation is complete, make sure bluetooth is enabled. Follow the prompts to pair your watch with your phone. During the setup process, you will need to create an account with Fossil. Once the app is installed and your watch is connected to your phone via bluetooth, it'll automatically adjust to the correct time. The 3 buttons on the right side of the watch are programmable. The 3 shortcuts that I've found useful are:-Take a Photo (Turns your watch into a remote control for snapping a picture with your smart phone's camera)-Date (Displays the date on your watch)-Ring Phone (Helps you locate your phone)Other useful features and functions found in this watch are:-Built In Fitness Tracker-Notifications: Social Media / Text / Email / App Alerts-Multiple Time Zones-Alarm Clock-Calendar Alerts-Control Your Music-Sleep Tracker-Step TrackerOne thing you should know is that all of the configuration for this watch is done via the Fossil Q app. You are unable to adjust any of the settings directly on the watch. Also, I had a difficult time getting my account to activate after I installed the Fossil Q app. Perhaps I hit their servers at a particularly busy time when me and like 8,000 other people were setting up their Fossil Hybrid Smartwatches on Christmas Eve. After waiting for 2 hours or so, my account finally activated. Here's my final list of pros and cons.Pros:-This is a sharp looking watch-The "Ring Phone" shortcut is a lifesaver for people like me who tend to misplace their phoneCons:-I was a bit underwhelmed by the "smartwatch" capabilities of this model-The way this watch displays the date is a bit odd-The Fossil Q app setup and configuration was a bit harder than I would've liked.Overall, this is a very nice watch, that would be a good entry level model for somebody wanting the look and feel of a classic watch with some smartwatch features and functionality. Given the choice between this watch and another with a touchscreen, I'd opt for the touchscreen watch as the price is comparable. The Fossil Q Marshal Gen 2 Stainless Steel Touchscreen Smartwatch FTW2109 would be a good alternative option.
