ES1224

This dam thing just jump started my "SEMI TRUCK"!!!!!! I got 4, 24V batteries in my truck that were dead, well not 100% but they could not even bring up my dashboard. The only thing that would come on was my LED lights. I hooked up this Clore Automotive Truck PAC ES1224 and on the second turn of the key, my SEMI TRUCK came to life. That was a beautiful sound to hear, that diesel engine coming to life. Dam I'm happy!

Just a follow up, Nov 2022, I am still using this thing read what I wrote and just go for it!!! I bought this unit in 2014 have used it on my 2500HD Sierra Diesal a few times perfect start used it on my 28 foot boat mer cruiser 454 no problem used the cigarette lighter plug for radio operation on beach nice used it to open up slides on my 33 foot prowler and operate jacks and tongue easy peasy loaned it to other boaters they wanted it the owner at marina where I dock my boat impressed when I jumped the boat lifter with it he bought one . Its just a great piece of tech that if you need a jumper why go puny go large has all the juice you need and I think I just charged it just to top off never had it drained its a little pricey but worth it I never had a prob with it

3/28/23 Received new jump pack from manufacturer. On the paperwork included, OLD JUMP PACK SENT IN FOR WARRANTY WAS MANUFACTURED ON 1/2020.............it sat on the shelf for 3 years before being sold to me. I haven't had the time to take this apart to see if date code is on the inside. No serial number or date code on the outside of unit. It took about a month after shipping it out to get a new replacement. Cost to ship out for warranty was over $100......batteries and insurance. Heavy unit. And now we wait to see how it holds up. EDIT: Purchased this on September 6th, 2022........won't hold a charge or charge 1/6/23......3 months of owning it. Contacted manufacturer in January. 1 year warranty, so I'm still in warranty. Told to send it back. So I need to send a 40 lb package with HAZMAT (the batteries) back to Clore (the manufacturer). According to the rep, turn around time is 4-6 weeks for inspection and return. For $410 for what was purported to be a heavy duty tool, I expect better. Never buying a Clore product again. Also inquired about opening up the unit to check the batteries and the built in charging unit.......well within my skills as a heavy equipment mechanic........nope, that would void the warranty. Time to package it up, pay to ship it out, wait......wait.........wait.......then get back another unit?? That will last how long.....another 3 months?? There are other reviewers on here with the same experience. Should have paid heed and listened. In the beginning, it was a nice unit.........until Decemeber.........now the pain. Pain in the butt!! Finally just bit the bullet and ordered the Truck Pac ES 1224 12V / 24V jump pack. I'm a mobile heavy equipment mechanic. This last month I've run into a few situations needing a 24v jump pack. CAT excavator wouldn't start behind a house on a postage stamp lot. 24V system, weak batteries, couldn't get truck back there to jump start with jumper cables, not enough welding lead to use welding cables at jumper cables, owners wife went out to get 4 new group 31 batteries and she came back with stud type instead of post type batteries (not her fault). Just time wasted. I got this last week. Used it 4 times so far............very handy to have!! It is HEAVY.......it has 2 batteries inside of it for 12/24v starting. Wife grabbed it over labor day to jump start tractor. She made me come out and carry it over to tractor. Jump starting a 24v loader it did the trick getting it going. The litmus test will be to see 1.) how long the batteries last and 2.) how this will do in 0F weather jumping a piece of equipment. Pros: Good long cables on it, 5ft long Switch on it 12V /OFF / 24V......nice that it has a master switch shutting off clamps. No worry about clamps shorting out riding around in truck. Seems to pack plenty of power CONS: The clamps are kind of cheesy. The hinge point for the clamps is plastic. No metal pins or rivets holding the clamps together. Charge time (I think this could be better, my opinion only)............out of the box, brand new, the battery indicator showed full charge. I put it on the 110v charger and plugged it in. After 20 hrs the 'GREEN' charge complete light finally came on. The cable wrap doesn't really work. The cables end up falling off the unit when stored. I'll change that after warranty runs out. So time will tell...........I'll update this in a year. Right now, I'm happy. Much easier pulling this out than trying to wrangle cables and getting something else with good batteries close to the equipment.

I BOUGHT THE TRUCK PAC ES1224 AFTER SEARCHING THE INTERNET AND CHECKING WITH THE LOCAL BATTERY SUPPLIER TO SEE WHAT THEY HAD TO OFFER.I CHOSE THIS UNIT AS I WANTED A NO NONSENSE JUMP STARTER PAC THAT WOULD GET THE JOB DONE.THIS UNIT DOES GET IT DONE WITH OUT ANY HASSLE.WE HAVE DIESEL TRACTORS AND TRUCKS AND WANTED A UNIT TO JUMP THEM AS NEEDED WITH OUT HAVING TO MANEUVER ANOTHER VEHICLE TO THEM TO USE JUMPER CABLES.OFTEN TIMES THE TRACTORS ARE IN AREAS THAT ARE HARD TO GET TO SUCH AS IN DEEP WOODS OR VERY MUDDY AREAS.WE CAN NOW JUST WALK IN AND GET THEM GOING WITH PLENTY OF POWER TO SPARE.THE UNIT HAS LONGER CABLES (60") THEN MOST OF THE UNITS I RESEARCHED WHICH IS A DEFINITE PLUS.YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SPEND ALOT OF TIME TO POSITION THE UNIT TO HOOK THE CABLES TO THE BATTERIES.THE CABLES ARE MADE OF #2 GAUGE CABLE WHICH WERE LARGER THAN MOST UNITS I RESEARCHED.THE CLAMPS ARE HEAVY DUTY AND THE CASE IS QUITE STOUT,THUS SHOULD HOLD UP WELL.I LIKE THE CLAMP HOLSTERS WHICH KEEP THEM PROTECTED,AS WELL AS SEPERATED WHILE NOT IN USE SHOULD THE UNIT BE LEFT ON WHEN STORED ON THE SERVICE TRUCK.THE 12/24VOLT FEATURE IS A PLUS ALSO AS NOW THIS ONE UNIT WILL DO IT ALL FOR US.I BOUGHT THE UNIT ON AMAZON AS THE PRICE WAS RIGHT,SHIPPING WAS FREE.THE UNIT ARRIVED FAST WITH A MINOR ISSUE DUE TO THE SHIPPER AND THE AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE MADE IT RIGHT IMMEDIATELY WHICH MADE ME ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER!I ALSO CONTACTED THE "CLORE AUTOMOTIVE" CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. We bought this unit for jumpstarting our fleet of trucks, as they are semis we need something powerful enough for them. This unit has functioned flawlessly and can do many jumps off a single charge.

I recently purchased this jump starter for my truck, and I’m really impressed! The 3200 peak amps make it powerful enough to start both my 12V and 24V vehicles without any issues. I especially love the AWS feature—it automatically senses the voltage, so I don’t have to worry about manually adjusting anything. It’s built solid and feels like it’ll last for years, which is exactly what I need for those times when I’m on the road and can't afford to be stranded. It’s a bit bulky, but given the performance, I think it’s totally worth it. Definitely a great investment!

Product arrived defective and there is no process in place to get the item repaired or replaced. We contacted local seller (Canadian Mechanics) and there was no response as their phone number sends calls directly to voice mail but no one ever gets back to you. No email address is provided, so we can't send inquires this way. Finally we reached out to manufacturer and started lengthy warranty process which should have been a straight exchange. So far manufacturer has been helpful.

While the product was easy to use for our Prevost H3-45 passenger bus, I am disappointed that it lasted only 4 years, then started having issues not charging. I called customer support who said that if the unit was not charging there were only two things can could be wrong. I took their advice and replaced both batteries and the control board. Replacing these did not resolve the issue. The unit is completely useless to me now. I am now looking at buying a unit and I will buy another brand. I do not trust Clore Automotive and their Truck PAC line of products.
