Whit and Caleb
I am unsure what I expected going into this book but some obsessive men was not it. And I am so excited that thrilled to have experienced it. This book was an experience and I am here for it. This was my first book by Cora Rose and I am definitely going to binge the rest of them.I really liked Caleb's character and his experience with falling for Whit and coming to terms with his sexuality. I also loved his sweet parents and their family- and watching Sem be a stalker is hilarious. He is very original thats for sure. This book was really well done and I loved the connection between Caleb and Whit- and I felt genuinely upset when they fought. And godddd, when you learn about Whits past and experiences you can't help but love him so much. His character had so many layers, and I when he hurt I hurt. These character really had to overcome a lot to be together and it felt very well deserved. If this is book 1 in the series, I can't wait to read more.If you like-cuddle monsters when they're sick-spiceeeee (with fun control dynamics)-mental health representation-nosy but well meaning family-two guys that really deserve loveThen this book might be for you!

Sweet and Heartfelt
This book was so beautiful! I loved both Whit and Caleb! Yes, Caleb, even with obsession with Whit, was adorable.Whit has the patience of a Saint. He just lets Caleb sit on him and cuddle with him whenever. I mean, sure, he secretly loves it, but he never fights him or makes him get off of him. It was so sweet! Whit also has secrets that keep him from getting too close to Caleb.Caleb is a country boy true, and true. He loves his big trucks and ATVs and has a family who knows no boundaries. They will literally walk in whenever they want to. Anyway back to Caleb..he was straight until Whit came along. I love how he doesn't give himself a preference. When someone asks, he just says"I'm into Whit. " It's so adorable and sweet. These two are just perfect for each other and just know how to push each other buttons.I will say my favorite parts were when they finally figured things out and when they were on the ATV and Whit was being careful lol. This book had so many heartfelt moments that just made you swoon. It was the perfect way to start this series!!

You swear you're straight, until you get a new roommate. And he makes you question everything.
That's what happens with Caleb when he meets his roommate, Whit. He can't get a read on the other man and he does things to try and get a response from him, any response. But Whit's indifference is infuriating. Until one day Caleb gets sick, and in his delusional state, he latches onto Whit and refuses to let go. That's where he finds himself three-days later; curled up in Whit's bed, on top of Whit. And the interesting this is that Whit doesn't seem to mind. After that, Caleb can't get enough, and every moment they are alone finds Caleb curled up in Whit's lap. When Caleb's family mistakenly assumes they are in a relationship, they fake it. But when they both start to have feelings for each other, things become complicated. Caleb knows to next to nothing about Whit, and Whit has no interest in telling Caleb. But when those secrets are revealed, will their relationship survive? This book was so good!!! The banter between the two men is both authentic and hilarious (some parts are serious too) and the relationship between Caleb, his cousins, and Whit flows so well. Whit's backstory is sad and there is mentions of physical abuse, self-harm and suicidal ideation. This is especially prevalent at the end of the book. I almost thought they weren't going to get their HEA, but they do!!

Wow
Just....wow. I believe I found a new favorite author. This book is intense, sexy, the van Been boys are crazy, and Whit is just...I want to wrap him in a blanket and give him all the cuddles. Thankfully, Caleb does that spectacularly. I will be reading this again at some point.

Captivating
3.5 starsI had Cora Rose on my tbr list for a while now and seeing her attending RARE Paris in 2024 I thought it was about time to finally start reading her.So Whit was my first book by Cora Rose and I really enjoyed it! It has an easy flow and easy to like characters. However, as we mostly have Caleb's POV he was more "accessible" for me and I wished I had more insights into Whit's thoughts. Yet I think the way the story played out we did get a perfect dose of Whit's POV. I really enjoyed Caleb's ridiculousness, how he baited Whit all the time and how he got Whit come out of his shell.I wish I could give it more than 4 stars, because the writing style to me was really captivating. But I have some issues that keep me from giving more stars:1. Character development: we get a good dose of Whit and Caleb together, but even after finishing the book, I have a hard time describing their characters. It feels like we only got to see their surface. And I wished for more depth. More of who they are.2. Their relationship: Besides their physical attraction and that they basked in the affection of the other, what traits of the other made them fall in love?3. Their background: both Caleb and Whit's background story fell a little short. I think both pasts played an important part on who they are now. I could have taken some more insights and how it shaped them, how it still influences their present.4. The end: it felt rushed and cut short. Definitely had potential for moreThese are some things I want to mention in this review. Nevertheless Whit is a great book and absolutely worth reading and recommending!

Fun Easy Read
I can’t believe that I contemplated not reading this book! It was so fun, made me smile, made me squirm 🔥🔥. Some of the reviews came across as mixed to me, not sure why. There was low-grade angst that flared a bit at the end, but it was just enough to keep the story going. High heat, from almost the start and lots throughout. These guys were so good together and great supporting characters. Whit is a bit brooding but it’s his nature and Caleb pulls him out of it, Caleb who’s easy-going and uninhibited. I’m so happy I found this fun sexy feel good story. I understand why some readers felt the end was a bit abrupt, sure, I’d love more of them but I think the ending works. Off to start the next book in the series.

Whit and Caleb
Loved and enjoyed every page in this book.Whit is enigmatic, mysterious and apparently very well collected. On the extreme other side, Caleb is one of the most adorable characters I’ve ever read about.First times, steamy hot scenes and a feeling that you see being build are the ingredients to this successful love story.I would definitely recommend to everyone

cute and quirky
Much love for the ‘opposites attract’ tropes!Whit and Caleb made an interesting read, albeit a quick and easy one. Much of the backstory is alluded to, but the character interactions and personalities made up for it with plenty of substance. Most of the book is seen through Caleb’s POV, and his internal dialogue is both quirky and funny, and the heat level is kept at a constant healthy level, Caleb’s unrelenting libido an entertaining read and plot device.Although my tastes tend to sway more towards the dark and suspenseful, Whit’s more lighthearted tone was a refreshing break, and I'm sure, for me, Cora Rose’s writing will continue to be a reliable go-to for an emotionally pleasing and satisfying read.
