Would recommend to other students
This book follows the statics units for my 1st year undergraduate Engineering course very closely and is a fantastic go-to text for when you're at a complete loss. It has a comfortable mix of theory and worked examples.

My version is a photocopy of the originally published book?
I have a feeling that the copy of the book I have seems to be a photocopy of an original published version that was then printed and bound to look like the original one. The colour of the cover seems off and there are very obvious marks of photocopied pencil/badly erased traces from the original copy that are noticeable in my copy. I even managed to compare it to someone else's copy, and the difference is staggering. I cannot believe I paid over £40 for some cheap photocopied version of the book. Disappointing!Regarding the content of the book however, I like how the concepts are explained, and the examples are helpful for what I need to learn. One of the best Structural Analysis books I have used so far.

Not too helpful.
Too many technical terms and not explained properly. Plus not many examples or exercises. I didn't find this book too helpful. However, the book does a decent job exploring different topics. I think it would be helpful to Civil Engineering students in their 2nd or 3rd year. If your'e a 1st year student like myself, then I wouldn't recommend this book. The only reason I bought it is because our professor told us that the course was based on it. In my opinion, the book 'Structural Mechanics' by Ray Hulse is much better.

Average
I bought this book to help me with structural analysis.i dont think it is a good book since it does not have many examples and since it tries to cober so many methods, even finite elements, seismic analysis, you can understand that it does not give much info for any of it's chapters.the only useful is the good references it gives

Good book
Covers a lot of content, from the very basics to the stuff you do later on at university.Has good example, but should have more examples and should be clearer in its explanations.
