Arches® Aquarelle Travel Pad

Great size for travel, well known watercolor paper which is excellent for artists, has been used for decades, extremely durable , has the ability to take watercolors nicely absorbing them evenly, you can remove areas you don’t want or lighten by using water and blotting. The paper holds up well when you do this wash. It’s a great value, especially when you want quality paper for travel or smaller projects.

Good paper really does make a difference. I like the size for this paper. Makes a great journal. I used a lot of water and the pages held up beautifully, no bleed through or warping.

Arches 100% w/c paper is my go to watercolor paper. It’s the perfect journal for traveling! I bought two, 1 T use when traveling and one for creating. Well, actually, I also love Jacqueline Jax 100% cotton w/c paper. I use Jacqueline Jax honey based, non toxic watercolor paints as well!

I hesitated in buying an Arches travel journal. I have been using lesser quality ones and I like them, but I love painting on Arches paper. When I first began painting with watercolor paints I didn’t realize the difference the good quality paper makes. Arches is the best. It will level up your art. Good quality paper is the most important thing you can have. I used this as a watercolor travel journal and sometimes just for fun. For personal art or gifted art, I only use arches now.

So very very nice to work on. Will be perfect for my art workshop in France. I didn’t clip the paper down to the pad so it does warp but that’s on me. Excellent resilience with glazing and lifting. Great size and weight, love the spiral binding. It’s made watercolor fun again.

Produto chegou muito bem embalado. Ainda não posso avaliar o Sketchebook com relação a aquarela, mas ele tem um ótimo acabamento e as folhas são espessas com uma leve textura parecendo muito boa. Nos anúncios desse Sketchebook dizem que ele tem uma capa dura para ajudar a apoiar na hora de desenhar/pintar, mas apesar da capa ser bonita ela não é dura. Porém, pra mim, nada que afete negativamente o produto. O Sketchebook não tem um tamanho tão convencional, é importante você verificar antes em casa se o tamanho está de acordo com a sua necessidade.

Love it! I only use arches for my art, but I do need a practice paper, and I love a travel journal, this is good for both. I find the price doable especially for the quality, and also your practice sketch deserves good quality paper. You can't learn properly on poor quality paper. And better that you see what you practice would also be an end result in your final artwork. the paper you use makes a world of difference. You can have the most expensive watercolours but on poor quality paper it will not come out with it's best possibility. Smooth transition easy adjustable even when dry, and paper is resistant doesn't damage easy. It can absorb loads of layers of paint and water. I use it in combination with schmincke and Winsor and newton professional paint.

Perfect! Arrived quickly. Cellophane wrapped and best of all no damaged corners. Can't wait to take on holiday. Be interested to try the hot pressed travel version too. Many thanks to the the supplier.

Love arches paper and love that it is in a binded book. Easy to take on the go and the perfect size, not huge but not too small. Quality is great and will continue to buy.
