This UV, UVC detection card works great. I was surprised that even indirect sunlight gives a slight UV reading. In direct sunlight, the UV indication is immediate and strong. I bought this mainly to detect UV from lights in the house because my wife just had cataract surgery and has the premium lenses installed that will be adjusted in the office with UV light. She has to wear UV blockers until the final UV adjustment is made in the office. The new lenses in her eyes are amazing. Within days she was reading the 20/30 line and can read small print. You only need 20/40 to pass the driving test in WA state. The 20/30 should improve with subsequent UV treatments.

Great product. Works perfectly. At first thought UVC part doesn’t work but then noticed their advice to use phone camera because it’s much harder to see those letters pop up with a naked eye

This card is awesome. I have a nook which gets lot of sun and I want to use it during winter to just sit and enjoy the warmth but UV is a concern. With this card I could test if the light filtering blinds block UV or not. This card is very effective and can be used multiple times. Love it.

Basic readings, more for detection than measuring intensity but will do the trick. I got this for my UV light filtration system for my furnace. The bulbs run almost $100/ea so I'd rather check rough intensity to determine replacement than just replacing them on a 12 month schedule. Also found this card to come in handy for measuring a UV flashlight and my various sunglasses as to which are better filtering and which less.

I had need of a way to tell if there was UV in a particular area and found this card--a simple, inexpensive, easy-to-have-handy device. I first tested it by exposing it to sunlight and it quickly showed there was UV radiation in the area. I then exposed it to an LED light bulb and there was no UV indicated--which is what I would expect from an LED light source. I found the exposure scale on the back to be particularly useful as it gives an idea of the amount of exposure over time and can be good when you need to know if something has received a minor or major dose of UV. This could range from exposure to sunlight to exposure to another source. Overall I find it very useful and am glad for my purchase.

So I decided to make myself a environmental test kit. I have detectors to measure just about anything except light. Sure a light meter sort of works but a photospectrometer is what I want. My wife says 3 or 4 K is not in the budget this week so have to find another way. While not everything inclusive this inexpensive card shows the presence and strength of UVA and UVC light. You can see the strength difference from clear, overcast, and clouds, and even elevation changes. You can also read strength of man made UV, germinicidal lamps, welding, grow lamps. It opens up a lot of interesting information for its 10 buck price.

I returned the EIDEAL UV & UVC Test Card because it doesn’t actually measure UV strength—it just vaguely suggests that UV is present without providing any real information. It was received at their return warehouse on January 13, 2025, yet I still haven’t received my refund. Very disappointing. 3.31.25 update The seller reached out to me promptly and issued the refund without any hassle. I’m updating this review to reflect the positive customer service experience

Very good, easy to read, and a cheap choice for measuring uv light. It reads fairly fast and works well!
