Sat Nav Beanbag Mount
After reading some of the negative reviews I was a little worried about ordering this product, however I cannot find fault with this item.It offers excellent value for money, the official Tom Tom beanbag is over $42 in Australia, with delivery from Amazon UK it came in at less than $25. Delivery was very prompt and it arrived undamaged.Operation is very simple, adjust the sat nav "sucker" base so it sits flat and level on the plastic insert, clean the insert with the supplied "wet wipe" and afix your sat nav. My Tom Tom XXL 540 is secured so firmly that you can pick eveything up by the sat nav without the beanbag dropping off.It has been swapped from my Ford Focus to the wife's Mazda CX7 numerous times without incident and when placed on the dash does not move no matter how "vigourously" I drive. Both our dashboards are regually cleaned with Amoral (??) dash cleaner and this does not affect the performance of the beanbag. When parking up, I unplug the charger and pick the whole unit up, beanbag and all, and place it in the boot, no tell tale sucker marks on your windscreen.Excellent product, very reasonable price and a great service by the seller.Highly recommended.

Excellent mount for CCTV camera
This mount can be used with anything that would normally attach to the windscreen, including sat nav, mobile phone, and CCTV camera. You simply use the bracket that came with your device, and stick the bracket to this beanbag mount. Both suction brackets and adhesive brackets can be attached to this mount. It is heavy and wide, and with a non-slip material underneath to preventing it sliding on the dashboard. The only issue is whether your cars dashboard is flat enough for this to work, and you won't know that until you buy it. Even with a slightly angled dashboard, this mount stays perfectly still. In some small cars, the dashboard is small and very angled so this mount may not fit.I use this mount for my CCTV camera. I have problems with the way car CCTV cameras are designed. They are all designed to fit to the windscreen, but sometimes this is not possible. Either the car design, or choice of driver means it is impractical to have a camera on the windscreen. I prefer to attach my camera to the dashboard, but the manufacturers make it harder to do that. Why don’t they listen to public opinion before telling us how to use our own cameras in our own cars? To get around this, I use this Decrescent mount with the camera and bracket attached to the mount. It means the camera is upside down, but it still records perfectly. It just means if I needed to watch a video, I have to transfer the video to my computer, and edit it to turn the video the right way up. No big deal though.

Great dashboard mount but needed glue to keep sat nav holder stuck on
Bought this as was frustrated with the horrible marks left all over the windscreen and the sat nav holder frequently falling off the windscreen when driving. It's a great product, a good weight and is very grippy on the dashboard which has so far never shifted an inch. The only negative is the adhesive area where you mount the sat nav holder. I use it with a mobile phone holder, and it would regularly become unstuck, flinging the phone off the dash - perhaps the fault of the mobile phone holder rather than the beanbag surface - but nonetheless it just didn't seem very good. I have remedied the situation by supergluing the mobile phone holder (blue-peter style) onto the bean bag suface, and it is now perfect.

Could be better.
Based on my initial reaction upon using it I would have given it a five star rating,in that it worked perfectly on a sloping dashboard. However, after about four weeks the sat nav started dropping off. Cleaning the circular shiny pad helped but hasn't really solved the problem. I shall probably do what another reviewer suggested and stick a small mirror on it as it seemed to offer an acceptable solution. It's a good piece of kit and will be fine with the modification - though it would be better if sorted before being sold!

Just the Job
Mounting a TomTom on the windscreen is always a bit fiddly, and also I need mine to be a little closer in order to read the smaller numbers clearly through the distance part of my bifocals. The dashboard mounting options come down to a beanbag or an adhesive plate. I quickly decided against the plate because it has to stay attached when the satnav is not in use and because it requires a flat surface, meaning it would be too far away in my car. So a beanbag it was.I chose this one because the Amazon reviews suggested it was the best combination of stability, versatility, and price. And so it proved. The weight and the grippy base ensure that the mount stays put through the friskiest driving; even Lewis Hamilton would have trouble dislodging it, and a satnav might help him stay on course. The 3-section design looks curious until you want to position your satnav on the very edge of a curved dashboard, when it's a simple matter of dangling one of the sections over the edge. It's a bit of a lump but a practical one, and I would recommend it to anyone whose satnav can be mounted horizontally.

Awesome Satnav Dashboard Friction Mount
My first satnav for my new car in UK.. I did not want any sticky marks on my windscreen and hence ordered this one after reading mixed but mostly positive reviews.I was very disappointed as satnnav was falling off every time I used to accelearte or apply the breaks. I thought I would put my satnav old school way on the windscreen where it used to stick perfectly so there was no issue with the part that creates vaccum and there was something to do with the base of this mount.I called up the seller and they promptly agreed to return n refund; apart from that they gave me an option of sending another piece and requested me to try one more time and if still did not work they would refund the money. FREE RETURN was a bonus too.Since I have received the new piece which exactly looks the same, it is working perfectly fine and the mount just sticks to the dashboard.I am a happy customer with no marks on my car's windscreen.
