Sanyo Mignon (AA) to Mono (D) Adapter

Now an eneloop convert having used their AA many times. Needed a rechargeable D cell, with this convertor my eneloop AA can be used as D, happy days. Also worked with some other brands of AA I had in my collection, but matches the eneloop style, so prefer to keep them matched. AA simply plugs into center of convertor, and good design because it gently clips in holding it steady and in place while you plug the D into the device. Swapped my AA many times and still working well, so well built. Of course the rechargeable AA will not last as long as long as a good rechargeable D, but then is somewhat cheaper to purchase. By good D I mean the ones with high mAh capacity, as compared to some brands with low mAh capacity which are cheaper. Best of all I get to use my intelligent AA charger and don't need to purchase a D charger. What I really need is a very high mAh capacity AA, but 2700 maH is my highest

...because I've a shed-load of rechargeable AAs - but no similar C/D batteries, or a charger capable of charging them.This is a genius idea - simply encase an AA battery in a sheath that bloats it to D size. The words of caution I would give are around the amount of charge that an AA can supply when compared to a genuine D battery. You will *probably* not get the same duration of performance. I combat this by always having lots of charged AA batteries and a small screwdriver to hand.My son has just got some track-master trains that take C size cells, so I'll definitely be getting a few of those size adapters too.Really good little product.

Unfortunately they don't work in my maglite torch. The spring that connects to the -ve end is too big to connect to the small AA eneloop -ve end. So I'll have to get another brand of actual D sized rechargeables to work in this torch. Oh well, do I have anything else that uses D batteries???????

I got a set of these when we moved to eneloop batteries. the main thing we've used them is a baby swing.The AA batteries fit well and the power consumption isn't a problem (with cheaper batteries the swing tends to only function partially) The batteries supply a good amount of juice, just maybe don't last as long as I might expect (not a problem if they're rechargable)I think these are a godsend for keeping battery supplies and variations to a minimum but still being able to use larger battery sizes.

I tried it with Eneloop AA batteries, and placed them into the "Roberts Expression DAB/FM RDS Portable Radio with Built in Battery Charger", The batteries wouldn't charge. The Eneloop AA batteries charge and work when used as AA batteries, but they don't work as expected when placed into these adaptors. Avoid.

I use this in a mr beams light that requires the large batteries. I didn't have any big rechargeable batteries but lots of as, so i thought i would try it and it works.....

Fitted 6 with 6 eneloop pro 'aa' batteries , into large Roberts dab radio , and works fine

Lets me use less expensive and easy to charge AA batteries in the bathroom shower radio. Works well.

Veramente utile in caso di carenza di batterie D.

AA-Batterien passen sehr gut in diesen Adapter hinein - hätte mich auch gewundert, wenn es anders gewesen wäre. Sie rasten hörbar ein und sind dann gegen ein versehentliches Herausrutschen gesichert.Über zu kurze bzw. zu kleine Pole wie andere Rezensenten kann ich nichts berichten. Ich habe mit den Adaptern meine Camping-Laterne betrieben (dort kommen 3 D-Zellen hinein) und alles hat prima gepasst. Ich habe die eneloop-Adapter mit XX-Akkus von eneloop geladen und die Laterne war damit genau so hell, wie mit gewöhnlichen D-Zellen - natürlich nur viel leichter!So spare ich in Zukunft Gewicht und Geld. Außerdem habe ich dank der Adapter nun im ganzen Haushalt und in allen Geräten nur noch AAA und AA-Akkus, sodass mir ein kleines Hochleistungsladegerät von eneloop für alle Batterietypen reicht - es ist kein großes "Klotz-Ladegerät" mit C- und D-Zellen-Ladeplatz mehr nötig. Gerade für den Urlaub oder Camping ist das einfach praktisch! Das ist ein Riesenvorteil der AA-auf-D-Adapter und ich würde sie mir jederzeit wieder kaufen. Ich glaube, die Adapter gibt es auch für C-Zellen...

Wir verwenden die Adapter (4Stück) in 2 LED-Sturmlampen. Bisher ohne Probleme. Allerdings muss man darauf achten, dass die Feder am Minuspol richtigen Kontakt zur verwendeten AA-Batterie(/Akku) hat, da hier natürlich, baulich bedingt, die Kontaktfläche viel geringer ist.

per l'utilizzo di pile stilo(AA) in apparecchi che usano le pile torcia (D) ormai reperibili a costi elevati. se poi le Stilo sono ricaricabili meglio ancora. Facile l'utilizzo: bast svitare l'estremità, inserire le stilo seguendo la corretta polarità, avvitare il tappo.
