A solid mid-range option from MSI
Settled on this over the slightly cheaper PRO Z790-A due to the better VRMs, USB connectivity and a more understated, sleeker aesthetic. Versus the much pricier, higher-tiered MPG Z790 Edge, you only really lose out on the extra M.2 slot (and garish colour scheme + RGB dragon, which if anything, is more of a dissuasion).I'm an average user with a fairly modest setup, running a stock 13700K along with 32GB (2x16) of XMP'ed 6400Mhz CL32 RAM. Absolutely no issues so far. Planning to upgrade to a 13900K or its Raptor Lake refresh equivalent, which this board will support just fine via the latest BIOS update. If I had to find something to nitpick, it would be the M.2 heatsinks, which were loose and rattly until they were occupied. I also couldn't find a way to separate the EZ clips from the screws on some of the slots (which should be possible according to the manual), but this didn't pose any issues when it came to installing my NVMEs.Overall a very solid mid-range offering from MSI, which sits in between their popular PRO Z790-A and MPG Z790 EDGE boards. A direct upgrade would be the MPG Z790 CARBON (or MSI's highest end MEG series, if you're on that kind of budget).

Nice motherboard
Bought this for my first PC build. It is a nice motherboard and the bios contains the nesseray settings for overclocking etc.On the down side the boot times are a slow (about 30 to 40 secs) when paird with an amd gpu...hopefully this can be sorted by a bios a update in the future. The audio and system fan headers are located in an awkward place , just above the pci slot which means you would have to remove the gpu if you wanted plug or unplug them, again not a deal beaker, but just somthing to be aware of.Overall happy with this motherboard.

JUST WOW!
WOW! I had needed to update my board for a long time and well I see this out there and was like... REALLY? All the on a board and for that price! can't be right? can it? so I did some digging and yes they really made a super nice fast board with boosting tech and all sorts of great things! the DDR5 Boost (7200+MHz/OC) speeds are pretty insane too for the price on this board. also liked the M.2 Gen4 slots and up to like 6 satas too its a pretty crazy board for the price 100% worth it!

Easy Setup - DDR5 Compatibility for 6400htz CL36 (w/update)
Very happy with this board. love the aesthetic and components are well placed. Loads of m2 direct on the board. Installation was almost plug and play. I installed 32g of vengeance 6400htz DDR5 CL36 (2 x 16) and a quick update to the latest bios got it working like a dream enabling XMP with no further tinkering. hitting 90% on Benchmark. Happy camper :)

good middle of the range quality - let down by a fairly high price
PC components have gotten expensive, and in only just a few short years. My last motherboard was a top of the range Gigabyte Aureus Master that went along with a core I9 CPU. It wasn't cheap, but I felt it was a reasonable price. Now though, prices have rocketed and most components are way more expensive. Given how long these things last, I couldn't justify paying over the odds, so I did some research and settled for this motherboard from MSI.I chose this because it had a good balance between features and price - particularly in comparison to other manufacturers. The build seems reasonable too. It has most of the things you need for mid-high end computing in 2023. Support for DDR5 ram, Plenty of m2 SSD's, high bandwidth, PCI 5 support etc. Its a nicely designed board, with a smart dark design. If you are bonkers for RGB look elsewhere - this is a little more classy and utilitarian looking and looks good in my black and white themed rig.I would recommend this product for the price and features which outdo some competitor products charging a lot more. This is value for money so I give it 4 stars.

Super easy and it just worked
Easy to install and all of my components were recognised and running at full speed before I even did the bios update. The all black design was perfect for the look that I wanted as well, with having no RGB. I would definitely consider MSI again when I need my next component.

Simple to use and very slick looking
I love the stealth look of the motherboard, I think it pairs amazingly with my black Noctua D15sOne issue I faced was the motherboard tray wasn't easy to seat the motherboard on. I believe this was because of my compact case, but nonetheless an amazing motherboard in terms of looks and functionality.
