Expensive but noticeably better.
Very good, don't normally spend this much on strings. Very nice for slides and have a nice new string sound for longer. If I had less guitars I'd just use these, worth the extra if you only have one or two guitars.

Fresher for longer
They feel much fresher for much longer. They have not become rough and scratchy like other strings. Tone has not deteriorated either

Last forever and sound great
My favourite strings. I have hyperhidrosis in my hands so I always cover my guitar with sweat and these still last for months - definitely worth the extra money, I have saved a lot of money on strings buying these over uncoated ones.

Excellent quality, in a class of their own
These are very good and not much different in price to much inferior sounding string. The nanos are indeed both bright and smooth and sound great on my Fender. These strings were recommended to me by a designer and repairer of guitars, namely phoenix guitars of Norwich. Very pleased with the heads up.

Stay brighter for longer, easy to play, slippery and fast
I have mildly fallen in love with these strings after years of switching between brands and never quite feeling right for my playing style. I play a lot of fast and aggressive Metal & Hardcore, and these things just punch straight through and give loads of options with high mids and highs, without being too shrill. The nanoweb coating gives an extremely fast, and to begin with slippery, feel (this took some getting used to but MAN they are good after breaking in). I would say for me the G string on the 10/52 set feels like a slightly too thick gauge, but that could just be personal preference. In terms of longevity- I play averagely about 2-4 hours a day, and this first set lasted me about 8 weeks (approx 170 hours) before the webbing started to fray at the picking end (this may also be attributed to my heavy picking hand). Throughout all of this, I noticed little gunk or corrosion on the strings, and the brightness only really started to roll off after about 5-6 weeks. The only thing to bare in mind, as a few other people have mentioned in reviews, is that my E string snapped at the bridge (tune-o-matic). I don't switch between tunings TOO often, but I feel this string suffered more from switching between E and drop D. Overall, for a little more money, I am going to continue running these strings unless I find something even better.

Highly recommended!
I’ve tried a lot of different strings over the years, but Elixir strings are by far the best for me. They have a clear, crispy tone that really brings out the character of my playing, and they last way longer than most other brands. I’m genuinely very happy with them. The only downside I’ve noticed is that the high E (9) sometimes rips on me a bit quicker than I’d like - but that might just be my playing style. Still, overall, I keep coming back to Elixir because nothing else compares. Highly recommended!
