A hefty and solid tool that feels like it is made to last. Easily adjusts to suit different pipe bores, and includes a handy drill bit to loosen stubborn obstructions from the shank. Evenly shaves out excessive carbon "cake" with just a few turns. Highly effective, and for the serious pipe smoker it's well worth the modest investment.

I had high expectations of this device as I've seen very positive reviews for it. It arrived bubble wrapped without a box and no instructions. The build quality is poor and the three reaming blades appeared to be unfinished as they had no effect on my pipe bowls. I had to dismantle it and spend an hour or so hand grinding a cutting edge on to them, and also, I had to glue the knurled knob back onto the shank cleaner. Having said all that, along with the low price (£9 ish), I suspect this item is a knock off. It works fine now that I've worked on it but I'd recommend any prospective buyers use a different supplier and pay a little more.

it works like charm, you got to be care full you don't want to dig in to the wood, but does it chew that carbon up, carbon a pipe man's curse at times but this tool will sort that out simple and quickly, it fits a 18 mm wide bowl and leaves a nice thin layer of carbon, just what I needed love it. the smallest bowl it will fit 16.5 mm but that is pushing it some what 18 mm wide bowl would be the smallest I would use this tool on.

great tool well made last for years

Very sturdy and gentle on my pipes. The shank cleaner is a great help. The "blades" are not sharp and you have to gently work them round taking a small amount of carbon off every time. Slow but sure.
