Good value, some instructions would have been handly!
Pretty good for the price. As others have said, instructions are a joke, and some would have been useful. Alan keys are supplied but you will also need a spanner/socket/adjustable wrench to hold the nut while turning the alan key. The nuts have threadloc to stop them coming loose, but it does mean you need more force to turn them. The supplied screws had a size that fitted my new Optoma HD141X projector, but it took me a few minutes to realise that the small black washers were spacers and I needed 3 together to make the screws fit correctly. It was fiddly and awkward to fit, but I guess you will only do it once, the screw holes for the ceiling fixing are huge, and I also struggled to find a screwhead large enough to hold the bracket up. Once it was all up, it still felt a bit "wobbley" and even with the nuts tightened as much as I could, unwanted movement was still there. However, this movement did allow me to make final adjustments for the picture on the screen and I am very pleased with the result. It shouldn't move, but if it does I will have to get back up the ladder and have another go tightening up (as I said the nuts are hard to turn). All in all, I do recommend it and I would buy another if I needed to, it just requires a bit of patience and trial and error without any instructions at all.

Why pay more for a ceiling mount?
You can pay a lot more for a projector bracket to mount it on the ceiling however in most instances, why? I looked at various mounts that provide "close to ceiling" mounts, adjustable, gas canister based, etc. that cost a lot more. In the end I tried one of these out (and have since picked up several more for customers). There aren't any frills with this mount however it works with every projector I've set up - regardless of how odd their mounting may be. Once set up it's really set it and forget it which is generally what you want with a mount, hence questioning the value of paying more. Why not 5 stars? Only because it's a little fiddly to adjust and tighten everything up, but that's all and for something that's really not seen it's tough to justify spending more on a mount.

Lots of mounting options and sturdy.
It has a lot of options for mounting to your projector: up to four fully adjustable arms (I left one off for the Benq) and spacers and screws for a multitude of makes and models. Mounting to my Benq W1080ST+ was a breeze. Once on the ceiling there are plenty of adjustments which can be made in just about any direction: Tilt up/down left/right, rotate clockwise/anticlockwise (not too far though - maybe +/- 5 degrees), slide left/right (maybe 10cm either way from memory). The mount post is hollow - Ideal for routing cables. Tightening is done with an allen key and spanner on nuts and bolts - no tools are provided. This seems to make it pretty sturdy to me. Others have said that they had problems with the projector drooping over time. So far I've not had this problem, but I did adjust the mount so that it's in the centre of mass of the projector so there's little force to make it want to droop.

Reassuringly heavy-duty and truly universal :)
This is a great bit of kit. It looks good (you can't really tell from Amazon's picture but it's white). Its totally adjustable and offers 2,3 or 4 fixing points for the projector, it comes with a large selection of different sized screws as well as fixing arm extension bars so it can be made to fit any projector. It's reassuringly heavy-duty, I used it to mount my Epson TW7200, which is a fairly big projector weighing 8.4kg but it handles it fine. (Just make sure you find something solid to fix it to). The section that fits onto the ceiling can be easily separated from and re-attached to the section that fits onto the projector, this allows you to fit the bracket to the ceiling while your expensive projector is safely out harms way. This product does the exactly same job as the branded ceiling mounts but at a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend :)

Holding it's own up on the roof
This bracket was used to install a recently purchased projector on the ceeling of my living room. its still up and still going strong.GoodThe bracket is strong and sturdyFully adjustable to fit any projectorEach part is adjustable in pretty much every conceivable angle.good quality product, strong and sturdy build.Low profile from ceiling to keep the projector hidden away.Badonly 2 fixing holes means I couldn't fasten to a beam.adjustment is very fiddly to get right but just takes time and patience.I would definitely recommend this product, there are more expensive alternatives out there and for the extra money you could possibly get an easier way of adjusting for fitment to a projector and maybe a slightly lower profile . Possibly even a better design, but for the money and considering its on Prime its difficult to better this product.

Sturdy & Inexpensive
Has been in use for almost three years now hanging a Benq W1070 from the roof. The mount comes disassembled with a collection of screws and arms that need to be built up to fit the mounting holes on your particular projector. There are no instructions the assembly is not particularly hard to work out without them. Once assembled it feels quite sturdy, although any small adjustments to square it up to the screen take a bit longer than with a more expensive mount. The mounting pole is hollow and this means you can run your cabling through it giving a very neat installation. Two HDMI cables and a power cable fit comfortably, although you will have to remove the end of the IEC connector to feed it through.

Works ok, just a few things of note.
Seems very universal, not too difficult to attach to projector (even with the lack of instructions). However as mentioned elsewhere, the housing that connects between the ceiling and the projector part of the mount doesn't tighten appropriately and will allow the projector to move 10 degree left or right at the slightest touch. I fixed this with a couple of layers of electrical tape wrapped around the housing to close the gap and allow the bolt to tighten correctly. Easy fix considering the price of the mount. Unless you want to spend silly money on official projector mounts this is a valid alternative for sure.
