Dumb and Dumber (Unrated)(BD)

First off this film Dumb And Dumber starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels is a real Hoot of a film. This is one of the few comedy movies that yes it is really corny at times during the film but not too corny. Corny enough to get you to (Laugh Your'e socks off) I absolutly love Dumb and Dumber. This is by far my favorite Comedy Movie with fantastic actors most of which are very well known.I Like the First Dumb and Dumber film but not the second one mainly cause the actors that play the two dummies so to speack are not the same guys from the 1st film and the Sequal Dumb and Dumberer is stupider then the first one like the two guys have lost it twice as much.Sometimes movie sequals can outdo the first film but not that often like in the case with this movie its so well made that its super hard to top.I bought the Unrated Version cause its longer then the Theatrical edition and in my opinion the better buy.The Setting to this great film is really good and i like how the story to this flm is unpredictable just like in any movie you dont want to know whats gonna happen before you see it.Fantastic acting believable charactors, and a nice long funny comedy film this movie really has a lot going for it.The only part that i didn't like during this film is when one of the guys birds is found beheaded by these hoodlem guys after the two dummies cause of the money they have that they are supposed to get. I didn't like that part cause even though i know that its fake the idea of someone hurting an animal really bugs me plus i am a Bird owner so that makes it even more upsetting. o yeah i didn't like the part when the Owls bit the dust either but everything else was terrific and funny like when one of the guys gives his friend a laxative as payback for something that he did earlier on in the film and the guy has too use the restroom not to long after that. A little bit of Toilet Humor while immature can be quit funny at times.When i got over the part of the film with the bird i found it said and funny at the same time when Stuart Sells his Parakeet thats dead to a blind kid and the poor kids saying to the dead bird here birdy birdy.I bursted out with laughter during that part. I just couldn't help but laugh and thats what Comedy Movies are all about after all.So basically these guys are trying to escape hoodlums in this film because they took something that wasn't theres and they are off to return it primarily a bag filled with Cash that they spend most of its owner's money. Hey thats why its called Dumb and Dumber cause these two guys think iou notes make up for taking somebodies money. Overal this Movie Gets 5 stars from me cause its a really funny comedy film thats very well made and just a little cheesy at times withoubt going overboard. So yes i highly recommend anybody thats interested in watching a funny Comedy film that doesnt mind a few silly Laughs and toilet Humor to pick it up. You wont be disappointed.

If you owned the first generation Dumb & Dumber movie on VHS, You owned the original copy, the untouched version because this movie on first generation VHS cassette was around before the special editions & Extended versions. The first DVD version was cut and then cut again for telly. The film became a mess. It was originally released as a 15 certificate. This UNCUT version of Dumb & Dumber is just the original VHS put back to its full glory on DVD. This is the only version to own and I am glad they put this fantastic hilariously breath gasping funny movie, though very gross, back to its original full version state it was originally released. Jim Carrey is at his dumbest best & Jeff Daniels was well out of his comfort zone while making this movie but Jeff just let his self go and well, we have an incredible hilarious movie that actually works. You will laugh. You will smile and then after the front credits have finished, you'll be spitting your drink out, gasping for breath through uncontrollable laughter, laughing so much you'll need tissues to wipe those tears and you'll need to keep rewinding the movie because you laughed so much, you missed the next 5 minuets. This movie is just short of 2hrs but the 1st time you watch this movie, it will be more like 3 hrs because of the rewinding you'll have to do. My favourite scene? There's too many to choose from so, the beer bottles and the Police officer... naked women and a bus at the end of the movie... there are no favourite moments because it's 2 hrs of complete hilarious stupidity. You may die laughing trying to catch your breath. This movie is relentless. Gag after gag after gag. Watch the background, listen to what they are saying to each other and do not go into a public toilet after midnight. Sharing a bath scene is brilliant banter between the pair. Try to listen carefully but you will need to rewind many times anyway once you've finished laughing. Warning: It is very gross out adult, teenager humour. Sexual, toilet & gay humour. I do not recall any racist comments. If you suffer breathing problems, watch this movie with your breathing machine on, it really is that funny. Try not to drink or eat while watching this movie. You will make a mess. Do I recommend this film, this uncut version? Absolutely. It maybe 26 years old of this review posted date but it is a timeless classic.

Die beste Komödie überhaupt. Und die original Version ist tausend mal besser, als die neu überarbeitete Fassung. Qualität, Hülle und DVD sind in Ordnung. Bin voll zufrieden.

Lustig

Wer sich, wie ich, heute immer öfter wundert, was denn heute so alles an unlustigem Schwachsinn als humorvoll, ja teilweise tränentreibend empfunden wird (Der Schuh des Manitu; American Pie; Ey Mann, wo ist mein Auto;...), und immer öfter den Zeiten vor 1997 nicht nur in Sachen Film, Medien und allgemeinem Anpsurch der Gesellschaft nachheult, wird diesen Film wahrscheinlich so wie ich lieben! Hier sind es kein Softporno-Teenager-Film, der ja gerade deshalb so witzig (???) ist, und auch keine Aushilfskomiker, a lá "Bully" Herbig, und Konsorten tummeln sich über die Leinwand und verbreiten derartig starken Humor durch merkwürdiges Getue... -NEIN; dieser Film ist tatsächlich komisch; aber zum Schreien komisch... - SOWAS HAT MAN NOCH KAUM GESEHEN UND ICH TRAUERE IMMER UM DIE NICHT VORHANDENE FORTSETZUNG. Natürlich bedarf ein derartiges Genre nicht unbedingt strukturierter Handlungsabläufe, obgleich in diesem Film durchaus eine nachvollziehbarer, logischer Plot präsendtiert wird. - Nur eben in einem Gewand, der vor Komik und SLAPSTICK nur so sprüht. - Kein Sex, keine übertriebene Gewalt; dieser Film läuft alleine durch seine derart genialen Gags (die durchaus Schadenfreude wecken und zum Teil aus dem echten Leben stammen könnten; das ist es nämlich!) und den brillianten Schauspielern zu ungeahnter Höchstform auf... -Viel mehr brauch ich dazu nicht zu sagen. Nur zur Einschätzung: Wer nicht unbedingt dezent seine Markentextilien und dergleichen präsentieren muss, wer nicht nur die Charts hört und wer noch weiss, wie heil die (Medien)Welt vor 1997 war, und Humor a lá Ghostbusters, Das Traumteam (mit Michael Keaton - Filmtip!) und ähmlicher Filme dem Käse von oben genannten Teenie"komödien" (aus gutem Grunde) eindeutig vorzieht, der wird sich an diesem "unschuldigen", aber mörderischen Spass mehr als erfreuen, wenngleich der Humor dieses Filmes auch nicht unbedingt mit dem der Ghostbusters, oder ähnlichen vergleichbar ist, weil einfach hier viel zu konzentriert (was ja Sinn dieser KOMÖDIE ist)... (Leider gibts nur fünf Sterne; für diesen Film würde ich glatt das Doppelte hergeben!)
