I am a fan of the show and I loved learning little back stories that were left kind of open. If you like the show you will really enjoy these graphic novels. would be confusing I think for those that haven't seen it.

Great for the Arrow fans out there
Absolutely LOVE Arrow & it's great to have the graphic novels to read in-between episodes. It doesn't re-tell the same stories, it adds to what you know with the characters you love. My one complaint is that there are only 2 volumes so far - I'm ready for a couple more!

Kind of lame. But it has Felicity. But you're better off getting the new Green Arrow comics that introduced her in Trade 7.

A very good comic. Gave a little more insight on things that were not necessarily addressed in the tv show. Awesome!!

Great companion to the show
Great companion to the show, but doesn't really stand out on its own. But the art is beautiful, and the added stories help fill in all the gaps that the show doesn't explain.

Me and My Arrow
This is once again a solid collection of short stories centring on the second half of season one of Arrow, there are 17 in all and like the first collection are split between adding extra backstory for fringe characters and one off adventures for Oliver. The one off stories are again a mixed bag (there is even a one of Felicity story for fans of hers) they are all quite short so no real focus can be brought to them, the very last one which deals with the aftermath of the series finale though is probably the best one off story in the whole run.The backstory elements are once again the strongest part, whether it's Malcolm's training, how Deadshot got from being shot with an arrow to Bludhaven, how Slade got to the island or how Roy got his hoody there is something about most the supporting cast to find here, even if it's not truly shocking it's quite nice to build on details that where mentioned in the series and a few that weren'tSo once again a good collection for arrow-heads (sadly I don't think they have done this for series two, boooooooo) although non Arrow fans may not get as much out of it, even with it's short length stories it helps build on the world of arrow, also this has the added bonus of having all the characters introduced later in the series (Roy, Shado, Slade and even Lyla pops up) so anyone who missed them in the first volume, rejoice.Once again the series producers have some involvement and even better two more stories drawn by Mike Grell, which is always a plus in my book.

For TV Series Fan
Same as the 1st volume. 18 short stories but no new plots. These were the stories that can be fitted in between the events of season 1 or season 2. Though none of the stories were bad but probably they don't had enough pages to create a lasting impact. The stories which were connected to somewhat bigger events such as Back from the deadshot and Sacrifices are easier to recollect, while some othe stories like You owe me were more interesting even without any connection with any of the big events from the TV series. They have used so many artists thorughout the stories that the overall artwork for a combined book is very uneven. As everyone has his/her own style, you see the different versions of the same characters after every 4-5 pages. Not only style but the quality of artwork is up and down throughout, I would rate the overal art between average and good.I think in spite of the effort from the entire team these first two volumes are more or less fillers only. They have a done a better job after these 2 with Arrow 2.5 and The Dark Archer. This might be a collector's item for the die hard fan of TV series but overall it's just a one-time-read stuff
