You don’t need to squeeze on too much for ea application. I highly recommend this product- I’ve tried all other whitening toopaste. I am dying from the pain and I have healthy teeth & gums.","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Your gums don't need to be sore at all if you follow a few simple steps which ARE NOT listed in the directions with this packet: 1) After you've heated and fitted the whitening trays to your teeth, use a pair of scissors to trim away the portion of the trays that touch or cover your gums. 2) Use Vaseline to coat your lips and possibly your gums to ensure that no whitening gel gets onto them. 3) Rather than squirting whitening gel into the trays as directed, use a cotton swab or something similar to smear and dab the whitening gel directly onto your teeth. Be generous, but don't put so much on that the gel oozes everywhere when you insert the trays 4) insert the trays and wait the directed 20 minutes. I used this technique that I found on another forum and I did the entire 2 hour process before bed and went to sleep with no gum pain or tooth sensitivity, and had visibly whiter teeth.
