I first came across the MarXman marking pen a couple of years ago while stood at the till in Wickes, bought it on instinct and found it to be utterly brilliant while building an extension. Roll on a couple of years and I've just built a roof for an outbuilding. I had some deep timbers that I wanted to offer up to a bearing and mark out where the drill hole needed to be. My existing MarXman wouldn't spray far enough to make a clear enough mark on the brickwork so I ordered this extra deep MarXman pen off of Amazon while dangling off of the roof. When it came it did the job just as I hoped it would, and going on to help me finish the job without fuss. It's easy to use, just a quick pump (or two) through the hole and it'll deliver a bright green splodge of chalk to the destination surface. Spot on.

Great product - very useful for shooting through a hole in your bit of wood to mark where you need to drill. It's lost 1 star because if you don't use it for a few weeks, it dries up and no longer works.

As a tradesmen, I’m constantly marking things but when your pencil or pen doesn’t reach as far, it’s a nightmare. That’s where this pen stands out from the crowd. It’s able to reach further and push the marker fluid perfectly in those hard to reach spots. So easy to use and it lasts a long time!! I think this is my second in a year. Awesome value for money. Great long nose design.

This is a must have in my opinion, it takes the stress and juggling of tools and materials out of any project which requires marking the position for a screw or hole to be drilled accurately. It is simple to use, just place the shelf, bracket, or baton into position, put the point of the marker into the hole and press! Job done. Remove the workpiece and there will be a perfectly positioned highly visible mark exactly where you need to drill. No more trying to scribe a mark with a nail or screw, no more trying to find a pen or pencil slim enough to fit all the way through the hole. No mor juggling tools and materials and finding that the 2 holes you have drilled are not quite right and will not hold your work securely. Well worth it's weight in pure gold.

Fantastic item, I can’t work without it

Does exactly what it says it dose. Was using it to mark clips for pipe. The paint flies straight through hole, leaving a good mark. Haven't used it much yet but it's a lot easier than using a pencil. Liking it so far

I really wanted to give this 5 stars but couldn't - it would not depress properly and especially when you have something held against a wall and you use this hoping it would fire into the hole and find it did not mark the target...it works sometimes not others - not reliable - maybe I got the odd one - sorry I could not give it more stars but this was my experience of it.
