Pleasantly surprised
Ok, so I was wary of getting this desk based on the reviews about difficult or impossible construction, but I'm pretty savvy with a drill so I decided if parts didn't fit I could make them. 😂First thing I noticed while taking things out of the box... It was packaged really well. So well that the desk tops even had little plastic corner protectors to keep them from being damaged. Literally none of the pieces had any kind of damage. I was impressed. The first step though, building the drawer cabinet, I ran into my first hiccup. The rails, when attached as indicated, don't look like the picture in the instructions - the front edge sticks out about 1/8" further than the edge of the wood. I decided to let it go though, and it ended up working out fine, but I didn't think it would at first.I also figured out why part 31, the infamous rod that doesn't line up, causes people so many problems. The "short" and "long" ends are only 2-1/2" different from one another. Most people simply cannot tell which end is which without measuring, and I think that's why people are getting to the end and finding out it doesn't line up - they just have #31 flipped. Just be extra careful on that step and it should come out fine. The only other issue I had was gaps between the top panels. By that time, I had spent 5 hours on this desk and my back was killing me, so no way was I going to loosen all my screws again to adjust. My advice is to place all your top pieces down together with the pegs before you screw them all to the frame. All in all, this thing feels really sturdy, secure, and looks great, but it did take a significant amount of time and effort to do it alone. Definitely put it together with another person if you can.

Great Desk and Excellent Customer Service!!!!
The desk itself when put together is excellent for my needs. Fits beautifully in the corner with the L shape. 2 options of how you put it together is pretty cool too. Half way through putting it together I noticed one of the metal cross braces had a broken weld. The piece was pretty essential to the desk's stability. I emailed customer service, which their email is included on the instructions, and let them know of the broken piece. I was expecting them to hopefully just send the replacement piece. However, they stated that particular piece couldn't be shipped separately from the warehouse, so THEY SENT ME A WHOLE NEW DESK!! I didn't even need to return the other desk. I feel bad they had to send a whole new desk and not just the one piece, but truly appreciate how awesome that kind of customer service is! Instructions are very clear, and easy to put together, although it does take some time to get it all put together. Highly recommend this company and their product.

Not "interchangeable" and needs extra help to assemble.
Things I wish I had known before purchasing this: -This requires TWO people for assembling. -It is NOT interchangeable. You can choose 1 of 2 options on how to assemble the desk and once you've done it you're committed unless you take it all apart and build it again, which isn't simple. -Directions are clear but require plenty of time to put together. Pay close attention to details. It's not a simple build. All of the parts were packaged well and came in pristine condition despite the box having some damage. It was after I had emptied the 75lbs of contents that I reached the manual and read that this build requires two people. They're not kidding. A lot of things say that and its not necessary. This is not one of those times. But it was too late for me. I wasn't shoving all that crap back in a box and hauling it downstairs again, so on I went.(Note how every review on here that says this was a quick and easy build had a drill.)Flying solo and using only the tools provided, it took me 3-4 hours to assemble this desk. A lot of things didn't line up well, half of the holes are almost non-existent, and I had to do a lot of manuevering and tightening and loosening this and that at certain times to get things to fit- all using their little key wrench. It was an absolute pain, but I managed, and the desk itself is fairly good quality.I'm a little frustrated with the quality at which it came together, most of it didn't line up quite like it should but it's functional. The wood slabs are heavy and thick, not the cheap light ones I thought they would be.For context, I am a renter and have to move every so often. My hope was to find a lighter, interchangeable corner desk with storage that I could put together and easily move by myself. This desk isn't light, it wasn't easy to assemble, and it is not easily changeable as they suggest in the advertisements. So it's not what I wanted. But all of that aside, it does seem to be a fairly good quality desk, the wood slabs are heavy and appear sturdy so far, the electric plug in on the side is very helpful, and I like that this desk has some storage built in. For less than $150, it was a good deal.

An absolute pain to assemble but great.
I am usually a wiz to assemble weird furniture- I am the friend they call, but this was definitely not ideal. I spent like 5hrs building and sweating over this thing. Redid the cabinet like 3 times and it still isn’t right- pretty sure the holes were drilled for one side and not the other, I noticed a few pieces in the instructions had holes but in mine it didn’t, doesn’t impact anything and I could drill one if I really wanted to be extra. Honestly though after I assembled I fell in love. Huge and I have room for all my things and more- so buy it but mentally prepare and honestly I would do it alone so you don’t ruin a relationship :)
