High quality power supply
Comes with fully modular black cables and they seem to be very good quality. has really good features through msi center. You can monitor temperature, efficiency, wattage output (both current and average values), and total kWh used. I can't speak to the noise level as the rest of my pc and ceiling fan make enough noise that I cannot hear it, although maybe that speaks for itself. Overall, a very good buy and I am more than happy with it

ATX 3.1 New and Superb! Has 12V-2x6 Connector!
Amazing! I got the 1300W model. It is the newer ATX 3.1 with the 12V-2x6 connector. I was worried based on some other reviews that older stock was being sent out. I got lucky and have the newest model! When I opened the packaging box there was a reference card saying "plug in the 12vhpwr connector fully" and my heart sank, but looking at the connectors on the PSU it lists 12V-2x6. It feels very premium and the wattage USB reader works when you install MSI Center in Windows 11. Works great so far! Running OCCT stability test for CPU + RAM and the PSU is pulling 160W and is running at 43C temp. This thing ROCKS! Thank you!! Would buy again 5/5. The cables are very easy to route and manage. They were not stiff and everything feels extremely high quality, top of the line.

The GPU You Keep
This is that GPU that you buy and use for over a decade. You'll probably keep the cables, too. My 850W finally wasn't going to cut it, so I took the next step, and I see no reason to go any higher for a long time. Each slot is spaced really well, and I think they went with a great layout that explains itself regarding where the PSU's priorities are. Your power saving is easy to see, and the ratings it has received aren't just handed out; look at the amount of Gold supplies flooding the market...The zero RPM mode does actually kick in to give you some zero noise moments, but you won't hear it over your other CPU parts anyway.Very compact design and modular cables make it compatible in almost every ATX case. The warranty stands out, but it seems so solid and durable that I doubt I'll have to actually use it.

First MSI Power Supply - WOW - Love it!
I have been a tech 20+ Years and always used the same 2 brands before, So I was a bit nervous trying a new brand of PSU. I loved MSI from working with them in business for 11 years so I figured I'll give it a go!My MSI Products in my System: ( My Case is a Lian Li Evo XL. PSU is Mounted with the fan facing out for ventilation )MSI MEG Ai1300P PSUMSI MEG Z790 ACE MAXMSI MLG RTX 4070 SUPER Video CardMSI MPG CoreLiquid K360 V2 on a i7-14700KFIRST: MAKE SURE YOU GET THE Serial # and "CHK" Code off of the PSU itself before you install. You need both those codes to register it with MSI and also the full recognition and integration into the MSI Center Software. Which is a BIG shiny plus in my book to monitor and manage the PSU.* THIS PSU DOES NOT HAVE PROPRIETARY CONNECTIONS TO THE PSU Yay!! BEWARE OF THOSE THAT DO! I purchased a BeQuiet! because I love their products too, just to find out all the cables were proprietary on the PSU connection end and sent it back. This PSU was about $140 more than the BeQuite 1200W I originally bought.1. Installation: PSU is a GREAT size. I actually ordered this to replace another because the other had really stiff cables and was eating a lot of room.2. Cables: Very soft and flexible. Super nice tight fit, you KNOW if it's in correctly. The ONLY negative is the clip braids. You do put them on yourself. Some go on like butter clipping the cables in. I gave up after I ran into 4 hard clips in a row, my hands were raw lol. I just fitted the cables how I wanted them and left the clips I put on in place.* If you are planning on using the New connector to your Video card, make sure there is space in your case. To get it to fit with no tension you need about 2-3 inches of clearance to bend the cable just right. I don't use adapters. This comes with several adapters as well from normal PCI-E to the New one.3. Software Interaction: Plug the USB interface cable in last that connects to the motherboard. Makes things easier. The only thing I'm unsure of is why the software is registering it as a MEG Ai1000P instead of the Ai1300P. I will post a screenshot of how easy the software is and what it shows you. The screenshot is from IDLE. While doing a FULL LOAD test the PSU efficiency was at 90-93%, perfect. The Real-time dashboard is great as well.4. This PSU performs great, runs cool. My only tip on the software: The PSU fan will be in 0RPM mode even up to some super high temps, really doesn't matter tooooooo much. BUT I just set it to a neutral 1200RPM and the PSU went down 30C, Crazy. In my Case where it is mounted right behind my proc and motherboard, that made a good difference on my CPU/Mobo temps as well as I observed in just idle/basic and gaming. This I really think is a great thing for consumers who want to futureproof themselves in this weird market we have right now.*Final Thought* Is the PSU Overkill? Depends on your outlook. Buy what you want. If you're torn on the Ai1000P or the Ai1300P (this). There are differences, just look into the manual on MSI's site. I do NOT regret purchasing this at all. Expensive, yes it is. Worth it, yes it is!

Unlucky
I got this PSU to pair with my new upgraded parts.Asus 4090, Ryzen 7950, MSI MEG Godlike MBIt’s a nice look but nothing to wow over.My main issue is that the PSU is faulty, The provided 12hp cable for the 4090 doesn’t provide enough power to allow the gpu to boot. After getting a VGA error, I thought the GPU was at fault. Paid $60 to overnight to Asus. They test it and everything works with no issue. When I got it back, still didn’t work with the 12hp cable. So I proceeded to hook it back up to the converter that comes with the unit. Hook up all four 8pin connectors, plug in the converter connection to the gpu and it boots with no issue. Now I’m getting a constant red light on the MB. Serval reason why this could happen but I decided to swap back in my Evga 1000w Gold psu and the light goes away.Be careful when hooking your PSU. This ended frying my CPU, which I thought my MB was fried and went through a series of RMA’s just to narrow down that the PSU was the issue.I spent about $4500 in PC upgrades just for this PSU to make it a nightmare. One other thing that is a bit annoying is that none of the wires are sleeved. So if you’re not trying to add rgb to your psu connection, by yourself some selves or just go with another PSU.

Perfect for 50 series graphic cards.
Had to return a previous PSU because I ran out of Pcie room on the supply so no rgb fans until I replaced this. More space for future proofing. Being ATX 3.1 and PCIE 5 it was a no brainer when I installed my new Vanguard 5090. The temp monitoring is nice to have in case of too much heat. New updated 12V-2x6 yellow connector for ease of mind for installing a 50 series card. Took 2 weeks to receive being on backorder. Highly recommend!
