Shockingly comfortable
This thing really surprised me. Not only did it work well as a camping mat…. But I could find myself using it for extra padding on the bed to make it firm. Honestly, I was very impressed with the quality and especially surprised that how it came and how it expanded to the size it did. I just wish I would’ve bought the bigger one, but I’m glad I kinda didn’t because it is something that requires some storage space to put it away so if you don’t have much of that, don’t buy it, but if you have a garage by yourself two

A good japanese futon mattress.
I don't write reviews very often but after looking through some of the bad reviews on this, I thought I would add my two cents. This is a very good japanese futon mattress, and I highly recommend this one if that is what you want - it is exactly what I expected and it is a very comfortable sleep for me. That being said, it is a japanese futon mattress, and so it is supposed to be thin and you are supposed to feel the floor. If you are expected a bed mattress of any sort, you will be disappointed. This is not a typical mattress - it is designed to be on the floor and be quite firm as a result. I think it is absolutely great and exactly what I expected. If you want a japanese futon mattress, this one fits the bill and I recommend it. But that is what you will get - a thin japanese futon mattress, not a typical bed mattress, even one that you consider thin.

Read description and reviews before purchasing
Not as thick as it looks in the photo. I’ve basically made a pallet of blankets and still hard but not as bad as just the floor. It works great as like a barrier on an air mattress but that defeats the purpose of this one.Easy to roll up and put away but lays flat when unrolling. Slightly longer than a regular twin. Not soft.

MAXYOYO Futon mattress
Gave a 2nd life to a 25-year-old, twin-size, sofa sleeper mattress….used it on top of existing mattress. My daughter slept very comfortably for a 3-week visit. I should mention…NO funky odor either. It’s generously big, gave guest extra sleeping surface. I’m sure it’ll do the same for another old, double-size, sleeper downstairs. My daughter recommended it, so glad she did!! When rolled up & placed in storage, it’s pretty bulky. Luckily we could stand it up in a spare closet.

Pricey
This is a temporary solution to whatever you have going on. The reviews are too good to be true. I bought it because I was having surgery and needed a place to lay my twin babies while recovering and it did its job but past two weeks of use and laying on it hurts my every single bone

How well it helps back pain!
My back hurts a lot. Plus, I just moved into a studio apartment, my husband passed away & they kept raising my rent where I lived. So, I found a really pretty studio apartment & it has hard wood floors. I gave all my things away. The apartment is only 500 SQ ft big. So, I was kinda hesitant of what this might feel like. But, my goodness... My back feels great. I had been sleeping on the floor before I had got it. Now, it is so comfy. Who needs an actual bed. This mattress is nice. I might splurge and get a thicker one. But, it is comfy to sleep on.

No Regrets
We are in the middle of moving so we got this floor fouton. It's so comfy and I slept really well when we used it! Totally worth it. Highly recommend!

Great Mattress. Needs more durable storage.
The mattress itself works great for an IKEA sleeper sectional. The “bandage” and “package” for stowing the mattress are not durable or well made.
