Very easy to use and leaves perfect results

Previously tried a scorch marker and it bled really badly, not a crisp line to be seen. Tried this gel yesterday and it looked brilliant! Easy to use and although it's expensive for what you get a little goes a long way. The results are excellent 👌

It’s a really good product and it does really work leaving a fab effect. However I would say for the size of the jar you get it’s a bit pricy. You do only need a little for it to work but still, had I realised I probably wouldn’t have purchased.

The media could not be loaded.  Don’t let the small size of the pot fool you - this stuff will last you ages!!!!! Make sure you don’t forget to wipe off the excess, and you’ll be pleased with the results. I use a black and decker heat gun from tool station to burn this into the wood and it’s a great combination. Tip - make sure you really tape down the stencil you use to stop it bleeding underneath. I use permanent vinyl as my stencil and peel it off afterwards, but it can still bleed underneath if you’re not careful

Used this a few different types of wood and worked well on all of them.

I had seen so many wood burning projects on line and wanted to give it a go. It does seem a lot of money for such a small pot but you do use such a small amount. I had read about people making their own version but by the time you bought everything you needed it would cost more and you would be storing big bottles of different things.This is a very handy little pot. I have only used it once on an old wooden board and a stencil that I had made. I spread it with one of the children’s flexible glue spreaders. You can put any excess back in the pot for another time. As my board was old it was a little warped which meant I hadn’t stuck the stencil down enough in one part so there was a slight bleed of the paste which meant that the design wasn’t perfect. I was a little apprehensive using the heat gun and didn’t quite go far enough so was left with a few bubbly bits which showed on the finished board. Looking forward to trying it again

Good. But couldn't get hang of using with detailed stencils.

I recently used this on a project for a Christmas gift. This stuff is very cool. The recipient loved the gift. It is fairly easy to use but it does require some skill with stencils etc and the access to patterns or a way to make them. My wife made me one with her Cricut. I did find it easy to use but I do have a fair bit of experience with woodworking etc.

Awesome product that can produce amazing wood art!Some things I learned:1. It says use a thin layer, and it means it. Too thick and the paste will bubble when heated.2. Small, detailed areas are easier than large areas. It was difficult to get the thickness of the paste even on larger areas, and also difficult to heat larger areas evenly.3. Let the paste dry thoroughly before trying to remove the stencil.4. Crank that heat gun up high and don't expect it to produce the burn immediately. The sunflower tray pictured here (design is about 12" wide) took me about 30 minutes to burn.5. As other reviewers have said, keep the heat moving. I held the heat gun pretty close to the surface to get the dark color; a little more distance and less time will produce a lighter burn.
