Wife loves the book
Since watching the various Nigel Slater programes on the TV, my wife has become a fan and enjoys cooking his recipes.Unlike many "big name" cook books - these recipes are practical and actually work - unlike many of the others we have bought over the years!My wife is a superb cook in any case, but Nigel Slater puts a new slant on things and offers some new recipes and ideas for her to try as well.Good news for me then - I get to eat some really lovely food at home all of the time!

This is Good
I bought this for the cook of the house and she loves it! Unusually I think it is a great production too. Normally I hate cookery shows and really squirm when I watch people tasting food for approval or otherwise. This show is so well done; Nigel Slater himself has a unique unpretentious style and the camera and general production work is very good. The food works out beautifully too! Definitely a DVD to suit our economic times.

Nigel Slater Simple Cookinig
I have been a fan of Nigel Slater for a long time and this one does not disappoint and makes recalling his programmes easy. His take on dishes are just simple and different and just watching him cook makes you want to try it for yourself. I have bought his other DVD's as well and enjoy watching them again and again. He shows even the novice cook that good results can be achieved very easily with a minimum of every day ingredients.

Bias warning -
I loved this. Nigel Slater is the dogs when it comes to fuss free cooking with what you have on hand. Or anything come to think of it. Non pretentious, easy going style - with Nige it is all about the food/taste/creativity not the personality (not that he hasn't got that in spades too!) Is it possible to wear out a DVD? I am trying...

This was a Christmas present for my wife. The simplicity, practicality yet complexity of the recipes is brilliant. She loved it. We would recommend this to anyone
