Dead End [DVD]

Several people's lives intersect one hot day in a New York city slum. This film offers no easy solutions to the characters' problems. The bad guy is bad, but he's also flawed and pitiable. Street kids, gangsters, rich people and poor struggling folk all converge in a dead end street. What follows is a masterpiece of directing and acting with a believable and realistic plot. Bogart is fabulous as the gangland killer who comes back to revel in his youth. The supporting cast are all excellent. William Wyler's directing is flawless. This is a true classic slice of life, 30s style.

This is film must be included on the list of must-buy if you are big fan of Humphrey Bogart.a very real and sad story,i really like the acting of the group of poor kids featured on the story,they are funny andvery entertaining.this film show us the true realities of life,very convincing even in this modern era of iPod and facebook...

One of the great oldies,takes me back when I was a kid. Good value and a good print.

A great forgotten actor. A film to be seen. I will be putting this film on over Christmas to remind friends and family about true movie stars.
