Very strong high quality storage rack!
Very strong high quality storage rack! The size is perfect for a high ceiling garages. Having 2 shelves allow you to store all patio furniture cushions on one unit. Easy to install after you identify the location and center of the trusses in a drywalled garage. Vary good value for the money. Super sturdy after you install the 2 lower wall anchors.

Great Product; some information and feedback
Number of installers: 1 (did this by myself) Tools used: Ladder, cordless drill, 13mm socket wrench, (provided) allen wrench, tape measure, pencil, stud finder. Time to install: it took me about 5 to 6 hours, but I was not in a hurry and had to correct a few things...explanation below The packaging of the product was well done and all parts boxed separately. The instructions are well written and offer pictures/diagrams to help with understanding the installation/planning. There were two things that I did not quite think through in terms of planning "where" to install the overhead storage: 1. overhead rafter locations 2. ceiling lights (fluorescent) or other installations that may get in the way (garage door track, etc). Once I found the proper location, the installation was rather smooth. You'll be working over your head to secure the ceiling brackets - I found that to be the most challenging part. You must know where the studs are and ensure that you're properly setting the lag screws. With the ceiling brackets in place, the rest was not too bad and flowed well with the instructions. They engineered the vertical drops to assist with setting the suspended metal base (they have a lip to catch the edge of the base)...that made it easy to set in place. I had two vertical brackets that were not lined up true and I struggled to get the sheet metal screws in. But then it dawned on me that once the verticals are a true 90 degree, the screws go in w/out issue. So, if it seems like its a struggle to get the screws started, check the vertical alignment. I like this product. Its very sturdy once installed and provided me the extra "off floor" storage that I wanted. I recommend this product and am confident that you'll be as impressed as I am.

Strong, easy to install, holds a lot, spare parts
I can be a pretty ruthless product reviewer but these are real good. They are strong, well made, easy to install and hold a lot of stuff. I bought two and then bought a 3rd a year later. I wish I had done them all at once because once you start installing them it’s easy to keep going. Because they hang they are forgiving in terms of where the mounts go, a few of mine had to be offset slightly because of garage door opener and it’s no problem. They also include some extra hardware which saved me. The last one I installed I jumped up and hung on, that’s my usual test for mounting things since I weight 200lbs. The mount came out of the wall on one side because I missed the stud, but the whole unit didn’t come down. So there is redundancy aka it’s very safe. I did bend one mount but they provided extras so it was no problem. I would recommend getting a laser square and a good (better than mine) stud finder. Then also just buy enough to cover your ceiling and knock it all out in one day. I’ll try to remember to take a picture and post it.

Good shelf, but beware of minor manufacturing differences impacting pre-drilled holes.
This overhead shelf is pretty intuitive to put together-- there are labeled instructions with each part, and everything is pre-drilled to work. That pre-drill component is what hurt this for me since there was a manufacturing mishap which caused a flap to be a little further down on one of the grates than the others. This lead to it not lining up correctly so I was unable to put in 2 of the screws it came with. However, these are not load bearing screws, just meant to keep brackets together, so it should not impact the overall structure of it. The grates (base of the floor) are NOT 600lbs worth. I had to have a helper stand on the frame to screw them together so they could be flatter, and we both watched the grates bend. Likewise, hooking up the bicycle to the grates, even a kids bicycle, I could see some bowing happen. I have not begun to put totes on it yet, but I will say this accomplished the purpose of having items lifted off the ground so we could park underneath, but I did struggle getting everything together in the way it was intended due to manufacturing issues.

Very happy with this purchase!
This is a wonderful addition to our garage! Our handyman installed without any issues. It’s large but not in the way - perfect!

Great product but expect installing this to take longer than you think
I'm used to putting things together but this took me way longer than I thought it would take to install. In part because my ceiling is 10 ft high and my garage was crowded so it took a while to move the ladder around and get into safe positions to install the ceiling brackets. Even so expect this to take a few hours even with a clear garage unless you're super fast at putting things together. That being said the build quality is very good and the instructions are clear and all the parts fit together. So the product itself is definitely five stars but installing it is a pain in the butt and you definitely want to have a second person help you lift the final 4 ft by 8 ft grid into place.
