This is a good shampoo, great for my sensitivities. Does remove shampoo and other buildups without stripping your hair. I Wish it were a bigger bottle, but you don't need a lot of it.

I actually thought this would be just another gimmick. I have fine oily hair but recently due to another hair product line, I started having an itchy scalp. so itchy that I actually booked an appointment with my primary doctor thinking I had lice! My doctor told me that there was a resistant strand of live going around and referred me to an actual lice professional. Which I didn't even know excited. I just knew when she took one look at my scalp she was going to say....yep you've got lice. However, she told me what she saw was obviously allot of inflammation and she could see places where I had scratched so hard that I had scabs. So she then referred me to a dermatologist. Well I had enough of referrals, some might disagree with my decision to not see a dermatologist and that's okay but I decided to do some investigating on my own. I looked up reasons for why my scalp could be doing this. From my hard water, to products with sulfate, to allergies, to hormonal imbalance, to hair coloring, to my PH being off, to the medicine I take and to what and how I eat. The one thing I noticed on all these sites were they suggested to start with a gentle sulfate free shampoo, the more free of chemicals the better. Which lead me to searching for the top rated, voted, preferred shampoo and conditioner I could find and every site had this product showing as the most preferred. So this is my 3rd week using it. The itching is almost a thing of the past. I went from waking up in the middle of the night and taking my nails and scratching as hard as I can. Running to the bathroom at work just to scratch my head. Looking at my watch when I had appointments with my customers, not really listening to what they were saying. All I could think of is I cannot wait to get in the car and scratch my scalp......to now maybe sn average of 3 times a day I might have sn itchy place on my scalp that I can scratch once and the itch is gone. The oil that I used to produce, had me wanting to wash my hair everyday, I wouldn't bc that's not good for your hair but I sure as heck would want to bc the 2nd day for me would look like a week for others (gross). Now I can go 2 days and my hair still looks clean and fresh. I could probably go a 3rd day but I haven't tried that yet.Now for those who have oily scalp but dry brittle hair, don't worry you can use this bc the product is gentle. Yes it cleans. However, it does not strip and we all know the difference. I also have not felt the need to put other products in my hair like mousse or volumizer or hairspray. Not that I did that much in the first place but I found that my hair looks gorgeous without it. Also, I use the Argan Conditioner with this based on me going to the sellers website and it showed that they recommend this shampoo and conditioner together. I like the conditioner and I will continue to use it as well bc I believe that pairing the two could give me the best results, just my opinion. However, I love....no not love....I AM OBSESSED WITH MAPLE HOLISTICS DEGREASE SHAMPOO! I hope my review helps others to give it a try and not just for a couple of days, to those impatient brothers and sisters of mine who are like me. Actually give it a real whole hearted try. Then I would say after a month if it doesn't work for you then at least you truly know if it worked for you or not. I hope all my Amazon peeps have a blessed day.

These tricked me. I always use this shampoo but I saw this one and it said currant scented so I thought it was a new scent and that’s why it was more expensive than I had been buying it for. It’s the same tea tree shampoo I’ve been using. I payed more for the same thing I always get

Throught my childhood, I remember my dad's chair very vividly. The headrest had a huge black, greasy spot on it with a particular smell, and trust me, the kids and especially me, were afraid of that chair. But years later, as I was brushing my hair one day, I recognized a very familiar smell. It wasn't hard to recall, as the memories of dad's old chair came whirling into mind; I was then awakened to the scary truth, that I had inherited, what I'm gonna now call 'greasy head' disease. So with a thrash in my step, I scurried about, trying almost anything possible to reduce this sickening feel/smell. I tried everything from a wide variety of shampoos, vinegar, no conditioner, a wash 3 times a week, blow drying my hair, sleeping on wet hair, dry shampoo, expensive shampoo, special conditioners, I mean you name it! Weirdly, none of it worked. That's when I finally had compassion on my dad's chair. Maybe he had tried everything and nothing worked, until one day, I was shopping on Amazon...Behold, I found Deagrease Shampoo. The reviews were amazing. I had never bought shampoo off of Amazon, so I was skeptical about the purchase, but was definitely willing to do anything to escape this inherited 'grease head' disease thing. So, I purchased it, and it came probably the next day. I bailed right into the shower and immediately applied this shampoo. I have to say, the first thing I recognized, was another very familiar smell; grandma's tincture cupboard. Yup! That was it. And it was strong! Regardless of the smell, I proceeded. After I had washed and dried my hair with leave in conditioner, my hair was flawless! It was not grease anymore! I wanted to call dad on the spot and tell him about this cool thing I found.So overall, totally love this shampoo. I usually apply it with RedKen shampoo and conditioner, and blow dry immediately after towel drying. My hair always feels like millions of dollars, more than millions actually. I'm really glad this shampoo was able to make me regret my past, love the present, and look forward to the future!
