First, I have lots of succulents and lots of plant lights. Some with success, and some don’t last—my purchase of this set of lights with very few non sponsored reviews led me to write. I haven’t tried these with the plants yet and if they work well, I will update this review. I purchased based on the size and spectrum I was looking for. This is mostly about my impression of the lights and how they are to setup. All of what I have to say is not necessarily hidden in any description, but I apparently didn’t look closely at the photos.The first thing I noticed is that these lights hang down very low from the shelf. I purchased these for a bamboo wall shelf with not a lot of space between the shelves, but it works for the size of the haworthia I have on it. All my previous lights were at the most about half inch deep, which maximizes my space. These lights with the ends on will hang down more than two inches—taking away some grow space on this fixed shelf. With some of my plants not an issue, but I do have a few taller ones that will be very close to the lights leaving no room for new growth. On another adjusting or larger shelf this wouldn’t be an issue, but for me it is. I will be trying the lights after I unscrewed the ends, but it leaves those very exposed to moisture. I don’t know if the adhesive will hold to the shelf and the cord from the light comes out the top, so I have to align that between pieces and it will be more exposed to the bases of the pots and water from them. I don’t think the adhesive strips that came with will hold, but then I’ve never had any lights that came with strong enough strips and have always had to switch to a better type.The second thing is that there are lots and lots of cords. The adapter box is very large and rather heavy. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to secure it to the wall under my hanging wall shelf. One pleasant surprise not seen in the description is that each of the four lights has its own on/off switch that comes between the light and the timer. This will allow for me to turn them off without messing up the timer—say while I’m watching tv and they’re just in my eyes. However the cords will be very visible. If I were using for more growth shelf vs a more decorative shelf like this one it wouldn’t be an issue, but in my useage it’s a definite con.I will be giving these a try, though I also admit I just ordered another brand and type for backup as my plants are starting to show signs of the lack of light over the last two weeks since my last set quit working. I doubt I will be able to use this set long term for this shelf but if they make the plants happy I may keep for a different shelf. Though the length of the lights doesn’t look like it will easily work with the wire shelves I use for my nursery and growth plants.

I set these up on my 4-tier indoor greenhouse unit (that I use to start seeds in). The lights fit great on the wire shelves, I had to maneuver them in slightly, but they clip right on. I had to hang the light on the top shelf. I have heat propagation mats as well, so my seedlings started sprouting within a few days. They didn't get enough light with the window, so these were just what I needed. Compact and bright (or dim if you want). I love the timer, different light settings and that you can turn individual lights off with the switches, since I don't have plants on the bottom shelf yet. WONDERFUL and very responsive customer service too! I highly recommend these.

But is hard to understand how everything works to use the control to delay the timers on and off and the different light levels not sure what way to set it for seeding had to guess after turning light on with out timer.

These seem to work great. It's the timer that I don't quite get. Apparently the clock starts from the time you turn it on and goes from the for the number of hours you choose. You can't randomly select the time.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet; buy these. I’ve tried MANY lights before arriving at these - and let me tell you, MANY. These are my favorites. Enough power to put 1-2 per shelf (assuming you are a home grower like myself), timers that are actually accurate, easily mounted (and moved!), and most importantly the power connections are STABLE. They are nice hearty pin plugs with the little screwed on security ring. These are lights that will outlast most other lights on Amazon. I’m writing this review as I’m waiting for the delivery of my second set. Worth the money. Buy with the discount and buy more than one, you’ll want them soon enough.

For me working condishion is very important for my seedlings. First set of that lights was perfect. But second one unfortunately defected. I hope I will get replacement very soon. That product when everything works really very good.

I really like these lights. I made a little grow cabinet in our entertainment center and this fit perfectly. So far I haven’t had any issues with it. The timer functions great. I do like that you can change them to what the plant needs. All plants have different needs so having something to fill any of those plants is a great buy in my book.My only issue is that it’s a usb plug. So you need a usb box to plug it into the wall which they do not provide. Makes sense because everything I’ve bought that requires a box does not include the box. Other than that, I really like it and it’s been good on the plants.
