Libéron Wax Polish Black Bison Paste Dark Oak 500ml

Used this on plain old planed all sides white wood 1 by 9s to make shelves (fyi buying 1 by 9s from a timber supplier is considerably cheaper than buying even the cheapest scaffold boards you can find by a very large margin, they're not as thick as scaffold boards but they look just as good and you won't have to plane all the edges yourself) While I am not convinced they look like dark oak (you cannot make one wood look like another wood with just stains in most cases) this has definitely given the white wood a really appealing rustic hue, it also applies really evenly in 1 coat as you can just put way too much on then wipe it back off. I applied with a microfibre cloth and I'm very pleased with the end result. It smells pretty strongly during application but it's not a horrid smell or anything, reminded me of old spray on/wipe off furniture polishes.

Fantastic wax, used in a professional setting on antique furniture.

I used this on the remnants of a rubber wood table my dad turned into a coat rack for me. I'd give it 5 stars but the smell stung my nostrils. It goes on really nice and the colour isn't too heavy as you'll see it took 3 coats. I'd give it a good 30 mins before buffing as it wasn't properly dry.

Perfect product

We have a lot of dark coloured natural wood furniture around the house which occasionally requires a little care and attention. I found this black bison easy to use and is great for covering small scratches etc. Very easy to use. Less is more with this wax. Apply sparingly with a soft cloth, leave for 20 minutes and buff off with a clean soft cloth. Gives a deep shine which lasts up to a month on the dining table and much, much longer on other items that experience less wear. People complain about the smell but it really doesn't bother me and is gone in a couple of days.

I love the smell and really miss it from my old job as a cabinetmaker. Thise days were the best. This wax covered well, and gave a nice sheen that only a wax can give. It was nice and dark, actually a lot darker than was on the tin, but that was a relief because when the tin came I looked at the sample on the sticker and it looked too light, so in the end it all worked out as expected. There was however a hole in the dead center of the lid which looked like it was done with a hole punch or something, so I've covered it with a sticker to stop the wax drying out over time.

Great product - a little goes a long way.

It looks beautiful on my table but takes a lot of elbow grease. I used Pledge oil on it later and that was a mistake. It streaked badly. Probably won't repurchase.
