A complete 5 star!
fizzy says what she thinks, takes what she deserves, and makes no apologies for either.Things to love:The banter OH MY GOD!!!!Dual POVAuthor FMC + Documentary producer MMCReality TVSingle dad/ DILF/ British/ DimpledThe tension and piningForced proximityIt takes a lot for me to get extremely attached to characters and actually cry at some points in the book, but here I am. Sobbing and laughing and a complete mess. Thank you for the emotional roller coaster, Christina & Lauren.I liked the characters and the energy they brought to the story. It was fun and full of heart.Fizzy is a funny, real, honest, and compelling FMC. The premise is unique and creative, with engaging characters and fun banter. The tension and longing between Fizzy and Connor is palpable, and I couldn’t put the book down! This will be my go-to recommendation to anyone who will listen! The footage of them falling in love in the most simple, human ways possible brought tears to my eyes. It's such a real love in the way it happens - not in one big moment but a thousand small ones.

Favorite author
This author duo will forever have my heart. I read 'The Soulmate Equation' and 'The True Love Experiment', both back to back and trust me both were equally good in their aspect.- I loved the concept of dating app being based on genetics and finding matches through DNA samples.- Hate to Lovers- I loved Jess & Fizzy, both!- River Pena was a little annoying at the start but I think he is one of those character who slowly and steadily you grow fond of.- Connor on the other hand was way more charming from the beginning to the end.- I love reading about main characters who are readers/writers (Fizzy is a romance author)- The entire concept of dating, reality show in the second book was equally very well executed, somewhere in the middle I felt like the book was a little bit stretched but overall a perfect read with excellent plot which focuses much more than just romance.- The entire single parent concept in both the books was my favorite to read about.A romance buff like me? You definitely should not miss these two books.

love love love!
This was such a heart warming story. Kept me hooked from start to finish. Both the male and female leads were lovable and so well written. I had a smile on my face for the majority of the story and would recommend it to everyone looking for some joy!

Had a blast reading it!
Name : The True Love ExperimentAuthor : Christina LaurenGenre: RomcomI have just one word to say about this book : FUNNN!Okay, so this is my first Christina Lauren book. I have heard so much about their works on Bookstagram, so I finally I decided to read a book by them. Speaking of which, I had no idea "Christina Lauren" are 2 women 🙈. I had assumed Lauren was the author's last name 🤦!Coming to the book, it was a fun romcom story and it had some characters from the Soulmate Equation, which has been added to my TBR thanks to River's funny cameos in this book. This book definitely has the potential to be made into a romcom movie for Netflix.I loved Fizzy's vibrant nature. She was SO funny and always ready with such quirky replies. And importantly, unlike romcom heroines she was always SO upbeat and quite mature in spite of her projecting the airhead vibes. And I loved how she ALWAYS had an opinion about everything and never ever passive. If I have a favourite character in this book, it's Connor. He's soo cool and down to earth and dependable and mature. He's not a boy, he's a man, a proper British gentleman. He balanced out Fizzy's nature so well, like he's the yang to her ying. The love story was good to read too. Yes, a little predictable. And I felt their attraction started quite fast, or maybe I enjoy slow burn much better. This is a attraction at first sight kinda story, so I didn't relate to it much. But as a reader, it was fun and breezy to read. Certain moments really made me chuckle out loud. And there were quite a few moments that did give me butterflies. The authors perfectly portrayed the feeling of falling in love with someone. Also, I watch a few American reality tv shows, so it was awesome to get a behind the scenes look of that world. If you want to read a fun breezy romcom on a Sunday afternoon without getting too much emotional baggage, pick this book up.P.S. loved the Twilight references in this book. It made my #Twihard heart swell with happiness 😁.

!!
I think this book just made me re-fall in love with romance as a genre. I’m such a cynic and find it hard to find a romance novel that hits all the points (great plot/writing, believable fun and non-toxic characters, and great chemistry) and The True Love Experiment had me from all angles. Nothing but positive thoughts. Will immediately be reading all 29 other Christina Lauren novels.

Achei que o enredo é muito criativo! Os personagens têm muita química e o desenvolvimento do livro é feito de forma muito inteligente. Fazia tempo que eu não lia um livro tão bom.

My Favorite Christina Lauren to date
This book was WOW! I loved the soulmate equation (which was my favorite Christina Lauren to date) but this one knocked it out of the park. It was funny and heartfelt, the characters were so likeable I fell in love with them right away. Fizzy is now my absolute rom-com favorite heroine. She is so funny and witty and quick on her feet. She gives the best advice and she's the aunty and friend everyone would love to have. And Connor. I loved how we can see the biggest change in him from the beginning to the end of this book. He has the best character development in my opinion. The side characters were also great and added to the story either my giving us more insight on why the MCs are the way they are or by having an actual supporting role. The pace of the story was perfect, fast enough but not too much that we did not get character growth or skipped on the chemistry building (which was hot hot hot). It really felt like I was watching a love story unfold and I could not put it down. This is hands down the best Christina Lauren book to date.

Delightful romance with snark and witty banter.
The True Love Experiment features Fizzy, who you may have met in The Soulmate Equation where she was the heroine's best friend (don't worry you don't need to have read The Soulmate Equation to follow this, though it may make it more fun if you have). Fizzy's a romance author suffering from writers block. Her fans are clamouring for her next book, but she’s just realised she’s never been really in love and now she can’t get past a meet cute in anything she writes. Connor Prince wants to make documentaries, but the small production company she works for has just pivoted to reality TV (there’s more money in it) and now he needs to produce a TV dating show or look for another job, which will probably mean moving away from his daughter. He decides Fizzy should be the heroine of his series after a chance encounter, she decides she’s going to teach everyone who looks down on romance novels and reality TV a lesson. Only trouble is, how can she fall for any of the heroes on the show, if she can’t stop thinking about the show’s producer?Oh boy. This is so good. So good. I ate it up in one giant sitting, not even putting it down to eat my pizza for dinner. Fizzy and Connor are an absolute delight. There is snark and witty banter, there is just having sex to get it out of their systems (such a fun trope) and seemingly no way that these two can end up together without it being a professional disaster for one or both of them. Also it’s just such a nice world to spend time in – awful parents aside; all the characters are a delight and it’s lovely to see River and Jess again along with lovely Juno and Connor’s adorable daughter Stevie. There’s boyband concerts and romance in jokes and I was so happy with how it turned out but sad that it was over too. Just lovely
