The Pineapple Neon Light is approx. 16cm L x 37.5cm H

is this true neon that can be kept on for hours/days? website description is vague on how many hours this can stay on. is it true neon?

Yes it is true real neon! Pure neon gas is a reddish color, to get the blue and white it is mixed with other gases like Argon. The light can be left on for hours and days, as a general safety precaution we advise to turn it off when not in use like all other electrical products, and to save the life of the light. Since these are real gasses, they don't last forever., the typical life expectancy is 5-7 years. We have ours on every day in office for 3 years now and still going strong!!

I bought this. Is it supposed to barely flicker?

It should shine brightly when plugged into a socket. Mine is still shining brightly after 2 years. If it is flickering then I would suppose that there was something wrong with the electrical connection or the neon.

how much noise does the power amp make? Meaning some of them are loud.

I keep mine on the kitchen counter next to my coffee maker. Being a table top light, I've never heard any noise from it. Looks great and I always have compliments on it.
