Leatherology Standard Checkbook Cover

This is one of the more expensive leather checkbook cover offerings I saw here on Amazon. But it's worth it. I have always used those crappy vinyl covers that the bank includes for free with my checks. I decided to finally get something nice to use instead. I am really impressed with the quality of the leather and build of this item. It is beautifully made, and fits my checkbook perfectly. To top it off, it arrives in very nice packaging, which would be fine to present asa gift to someone without even having to wrap it. I'd definitely recommend this checkbook cover.

Awesome checkbook cover. Then again, at $40, it better damned well be. I really appreciate how there isn't any branding or logos imprinted on the outside. Not sure about the inside, I'm too lazy to get up and check.... check. HAH! I'll be here all night.Minus one star, I wish they included an insert, instead of needing to buy a third party insert that doesn't even FIT! Ugh. Now I need to look for another one.

After using the standard plastic checkbook covers from banks over and over for countless years, I was weary of those flimsy covers tearing at corners and wearing out within a few months at most. For several years I had searched occasionally for a good quality leather checkbook cover but never found one that was satisfying and reasonably priced. Finally, I discovered at amazon.com this Leatherology genuine leather checkbook cover and was impressed with the description and excellent reviews. On December 23, I ordered the black cover and it arrived 10 days later, on January 2. This is a sturdy, attractive product, of clean, simple design, well made of good quality genuine leather. The size is slim and trim so that it fits easily in my coat or jacket pockets. A check register and a pad of checks fit easily in the spaces provided. My one complaint is that I wish the spaces were a bit larger. This is because I like to slip several bills of cash into one of the spaces for convenience and safekeeping, instead of carrying a billfold or wallet. The cash bills are a very tight fit -- the spaces are not quite wide enough or deep enough to slide the bills in and out easily. This is a disappointment and I suggest to Leatherology that this good quality checkbook cover would be greatly increased in appeal and usefulness if it were made slightly roomier to accommodate cash bills as I have described. Now I may have to find a good quality leather billfold or wallet to carry instead of the checkbook cover. Also, I would have preferred that the shipment took less time... 10 days seems like a long, long time to wait for an amazon.com order to arrive. Other than these two disappointments, I consider this to be a very good checkbook cover, easily the best I've ever had, and I recommend it for anyone who finds its description appropriate for your needs.

It is very good quality and I will keep it because it is too much work to exchange it. It is the color which surprised me. I ordered cognac brown and what arrived is very bright orange. The photo depicting the cognac brown cover looks like what one would expect and there is a choice for red that looks like red. What arrived was definitely ORANGE. It will be nice for summer and I will plan to order something else.

A very, very nice leather checkbook cover. I have always been a fan of high quality leather office and personal accouterments. I still use leather calendar and portfolio covers (and old fashioned fountain pens.) This checkbook cover is of the quality I expect, and so seldom see any more. It is very nice leather, well sewn, and it fits my checks and register exactly. This will be a keeper for decades.The packaging was also very nice and suitable for a high end gift. A little overkill for me as I am going to use it myself, but something to consider when buying as a gift.

I just received this today and to say I am thrilled would be an understatement! This is a gift for my Sister for Christmas and she is just going to love it! The leather is beautiful, soft and is extremely high quality. The color of Red is just beautiful. The presentation is just lovely and very classy. It is in a beautiful gold box and the checkbook cover was enfolded in a soft chamois like suede cloth. I love it so much that after Christmas I will be pointing my Sister in this direction to get me one for my birthday. Do not hesitate to get this. You will be extremely pleased by the purchase. I ordered it on Nov. 29 and it was delivered today Dec. 4. What great service. I'm an extremely happy customer.

This leather checkbook cover is absolutely beautiful quality. I got the cobalt blue, but was very tempted by the bright red. I liked this so much I bought another one for my husband. Then I found the Leatherology website and ordered a wallet and a makeup bag in the same color. They were having a sale where if you bought one item you got 25% off something of equal or lesser price. I love the way the blue pops against the contrast of my purse lining. These products are a bit of a splurge, but I think the prices are reasonable for what you're getting, and they're just so pretty.

I just received this today and love it! After looking at some of the less expensive options, I noticed they also look cheaper...I decided to try this one and the quality is really nice. The color is just as pictured, the stitching is really nice, and it is super soft to the touch...and it stays closed! I just went back and ordered a second one in Burgundy. Definitely worth spending a bit more. It doesn't have the duplicate check flap, but no worries...I just cut out the piece of plastic from my old ugly plastic cover from the bank and slipped it under the next check to write...problem solved! I really recommend this product and feel it will last a long time!
