Much better than the Pott'd equivalent, which doesn't go on as smoothly.

Airdry clay is one those artistic essentials. Especially if, like myself, you like to make larger scale models, such as 1/35 or G-scale. It's way more affordable than things like vac formed plastic-card when making brick style houses. Though I have found it can be hard to 'colour up'. Indeed I've had many failures trying to add paints and pigments during construction. Which was I was really pleased to see this product was available. Yes it's expensive, but after at looking at videos from the maker, it does look like to be the perfect primer for airdry clay. So the next time I make something in such clay I'm really looking forward to using this.

I got this to use with air dry clay and it’s perfect. It works as a protective, waterproof base coat for a smooth even finish. It’s matte white in appearance so it works well as a primer before adding colour (paint or pens) and then finishing with some kind of top coat to seal it all in (all the bits I’ve used so far have been from the Sculpd range so I want to get their varnish next). I know it’s just a small bottle but I think it’s a high quality product and ideal for small scale projects like jewellery making.

I'm no expert in clay painting, so to say this is good is probably testament o how simple it is to use. I have been using this to help my son paint a clay model for school homework. It goes on smoothly but it's not a thin viscosity - as such one layer can be sufficient and covers up well, including any blemishes and imperfections. I'll be keeping some parts of the model white while covering other parts with a different acrylic paint. For what I needed, it does the job well.

A great Acrylic based base coat for air dried clay. It goes on really smoothly and will also cover some pin hole and irregular pox marks leaving a lovely smooth surface reading for paint. You could also use this as a finishing product if you are after a white smooth finish but you would need to coat it with something U.V and water proof if using outside as itll probably lift if subject to rain , ice etc.

Superb paint, but 70ml bottle only half full, about 7x5ml teaspoons at about £1.50 per teaspoon.

I mix this with all my acrylic paints before I start painting and it gives me the perfect consistency!

Très cher pour la taille et l’application n’est pas du tout idéale ! Les vernis de cette marque sont biens mais ce produit là je déconseille fortement ! Très déçue.
