Fossil Hybrid Smartwatch - Q Activist Brown Leather FTW1204

If you want a smart watch that looks like a watch, this is perfect. It integrates with Apple HealthKit, so my workplace step incentives get reported properly. I love how programmable the thing is, it does a great job expressing information with an analogue clock (i.e. your steps). The documentation is a bit sparse, and I wasn’t initially sure how to interpret those expressions at first. You will have to dig up most of the info on the manufacturer’s website.Not having to charge my watch is great, because I won’t lose my sleep or step counts while I’m charging. The watch battery needs replacing supposedly every six months, and it comes with a tool that makes it super easy. I’m also glad I won’t have to buy a specialized tool or pay someone at the mall to do this for me.I didn’t realize this until using it, but it will let you add vibration alerts for different apps or calls. It doesn’t seem to have different patterns for different apps, though.The watch looks gorgeous and does not feel or seem cheap like some of the other hybrid compeditors. I would almost expect the same cost for a watch that didn’t have these functions. The watch band is nice and it’s easy to change out, no tools needed.The movement, however, is not perfect. While it is adjustable, it can be hard to tell which exact minute it’s at. I would’ve gladly paid a little more for better precision.

I love this watch. It functions great, the app is easy to use and very helpful, and it looks great. My only complaint is the battery. It has about a 4 month life time depending on usage, and is not rechargeable. I wish it was rechargeable. Other than that, it’s a very good watch that I have experienced no issues with.

I initially like the idea of these "Hybrid" smart watches because I thought it was cool that you could tell when you got a notification.It is nice to be able to get notifications on your watch, but it's become more of a gimmick to me. The watch hands move to a number that is assigned for a specific app (i.e. messages or gmail) but you have to remember what number is assigned to which app.It's a good looking watch, but I don't think the whole "hybrid" thing really works for me.

I liked it initially, but have used 2 batteries in 4 months of ownership. That makes this watch not worth owning
