I have a very heavy king-size hybrid mattress, and changing the sheets has always been a genuine, back-breaking chore. I'd have to lift one heavy corner with one hand while trying to pull the fitted sheet's elastic down with the other. My knuckles would get scraped on the bed frame, and my back would be aching by the end. I was skeptical about this little plastic tool, but I was desperate to find anything that would help. I am absolutely blown away. This is one of the best "problem-solver" gadgets I have ever purchased. The design is brilliant. You just slide the tapered wedge between the mattress and the box spring (or frame), and it easily lifts the mattress a good 3-4 inches. The best part is that it holds the mattress up, completely freeing both of your hands. I can now use both hands to pull the fitted sheet down and hook it under the corner, all without straining my back or pinching my fingers. Once the sheet is on, you just slide the tool out. Tucking in the top sheet and blankets is just as easy—you can slide the tool along the edge, and it neatly tucks the sheets without you having to jam your hands between the mattress and the frame. I also used it to help put on a new bed skirt, a job I've been dreading for months. It made what would have been an impossible-for-one-person job completely manageable. If you have a heavy mattress, back problems, arthritis in your hands, or are just plain tired of fighting with your bed, you need this tool. It's sturdy, has a comfortable handle, and is smooth so it doesn't snag the sheets. It's turned a 10-minute-long, frustrating chore into a 2-minute breeze.

the mattress lifter is a really helpful and simple tool, and without bells and whistles, it does the job of tucking in the sheets brilliantly…I do not have very much strength in my hands as I have arthritis. It is such a simple and valuable tool, I wish I had known about it may years ago.

Nice sturdy wood paddle. It works well to tuck in my linens on the bed. Easy to use. I would buy this again.

This did not work for my bed tucking. I used it more than once to tuck my sheets but it didn't work. I think it may be good for beds that don't have a high bed that lifts up. Not worth my money. I think if your bed does not have a raised part then it will work for you. It just did not help tuck my sheet.the quality is durable and seems that it will hold up. The wood is very think.

Before purchasing the Mattress Lifter, I read the reviews. One mentioned how rough and splintery the item was. I assumed the reviewer just wanted a refund but intended to keep the lifter. I was quite disappointed to discover that the lifter IS very splintery and rough. I can not use it as it is. I will be buying some sand paper to try to sand down the splintery parts. I will not bother trying to return it.

As a Senior Citizen, I LOVE this item! No, it will not make the bed for you, nor will it lift up your mattress, but they never claimed it would! This product does exactly what it proclaims! We had just gotten a new bed, and the mattress is very thick and very heavy and I have arthritis in my hands. I use this to help push the sheets and blankets under the mattress, but I do still need to partially lift the mattress. It makes such a difference - instead of loosely tucked in coverings, I now have tight ones! Mine is a bit rough, but a simple sanding will take care of that if you feel its necessary. I have had no issues with it tearing anything. Great product!

This is WONDERFUL! Saw it advertised in a "unique helps" portion of a TV show and since my back has been giving me quite a bit of trouble lately I thought i would try it for tucking in the sheets on the beds. It was so easy, no bending required and especially no lifting whatsoever of a heavy mattress to get the top sheet and blankets tucked in neatly. Will purchase as gifts now!

I have rheumatoid arthritis and this, together with a thick and heavy king sized mattress, makes tucking bedding in somewhat difficult. I bought these as they are wooden and would appear to be more robust than plastic. I am very impressed with how easy it is now to make my beds. To me, the beds now look as though they have been mad by a professional. Good buy, probably don't need two but, in case one breaks........!

Beautifully made piece. A bit smaller than I envisioned but will certainly help tucking in bedding in caravan. Not sure it will lift the mattress though. I haven’t used it yet.
