No matter what I did the remote did not work!
I lost my original remote and my model does not have wifi, so I am stuck! Dyson is out of stock for a replacement. I found this and thought great! Tried several batteries ....nothing! It appears that the tray that holds the battery is loose. So how wonderful...I have a 300$ fan that is stuck in the last mode it was on before I lost the remote. Very disappointed.

Surprise Surprise! It works!
I had lost the original remote for my TP04 but found it later (after I had already ordered this). I was skeptical if this would actually work. But, I figured it is not like a garage door opener that needs to use a unique frequency for each device so I decided to order it and give it a shot. It works perfectly.Like other reviews said you need to order the batteries separately. Note: while you are waiting on your replacement you can always you the mobile app to control your fan.

Just wish was metal. Bought a used Dyson fan from someone with no remote. They are soo small so I can understand losing them. Works great!
