I almost never write reviews. Never. But a cocktail nerd friend of mine recommended this Distillab kit to me and, I've gotta say, I friggin' LOVE this thing.I've had smokey cocktails at bars in the past and loved them, but I never realized I could make them at home. I've been building our my bar cart for the last year or two and, honestly, I think this kit might just be the finishing touch.If you're on the fence about Distillab, here's what you need to know:- Overall, great quality and pretty solid price point compared to some other kits I looked at.- The topper and torch feel like they're built to last.- Adds maybe 90 seconds or less to the cocktail-making process. Doesn't take long at all.- This kit was actually way more versatile than I was expecting. It comes with 4 different types of wood chips of different flavors (Oak, Cinnamon, Apple, and Cherry), and there are a lot of chips. Each tin is pretty big and since every cocktail only takes a pinch or so, it should last a while.- It came with a recipe booklet that took 4 cocktails that I love already (Old Fashioned, Negroni, Manhattan, and Whiskey Smash) to the next level. Wasn't expecting that and it was a great surprise.- This is a quality torch. It's powerful, it's got some weight to it, and feels like it's going to last a long time. Super easy to load and operate. It also has an adjustable flame setting so you can scale the flame up or down. At lower power it's less than an inch, at full power I think the flame is about 6-8 inches long. I'll probably end up using the torch for other things too.- The topper is really easy to use. Just take the top off, sprinkle your chips in the middle, set it on your cocktail and blast away. It's also super easy to take apart and clean. Four parts total, and the lid can be used to cover your cocktail if you want to keep the smoke in there a little longer.- You'll need to pick up a can of Butane fuel, which is only $6 or something like that, before you can use the torch.- The case comes with a small paper manual, but it also comes with a QR code on the inner lid that brings up the instructions in case you lose the booklet. The foam liner keeps everything secure, so even if you drop it, nothing's gonna break. Pretty good size for storage too.- The aromas definitely jazz up the cocktail experience. Cooler and tastier than I expected.I'm a fan. Can't wait to bring this thing out for my Super Bowl party next week and will definitely be telling my friends about it. Even if you don't necessarily need one yourself, it would make a great gift for anyone in your life who loves cocktails and gadgets. Definitely keeping it in mind for Father's Day, Birthdays, etc.Highly, HIGHLY Recommended.

I bought this cocktail smoker for my husband who loves bourbon Old Fashioneds. He was a little leery at first, but now it's his favorite toy for cocktail hour! I'm planning on buying this for his son who is very knowledgable about different whiskeys. This is a very sturdy product and extremely easy to use. My husband said he loves that the flavor from the wood chips kicks his drinks up several notches. He likes that it doesn't take long to make his drinks. For what we got here the price for this smoker is amazing -- you get a lot for your money. I like the fact that it's very easy to clean and store. This overall is a great smoker.

I normally do not leave reviews but made an exception for this product. Bought this for an early Valentine's gift for a good friend. He wanted a cocktail smoker that was well made and would last. The materials are high quality, and the kitchen torch is very professional. My friend likes this because the stainless-steel smoking chamber doesn't burn like other ones made of wood. Also, it doesn't smell, or taste burned; it just adds a nice smoky aroma. He loves this product and will have it for years.

We have always loved meeting for a cocktail after work on Fridays and with a toddler at home we were finding it harder to make our little tradition happen. We missed the idea of trying different and creative drinks, so we were excited at the prospect of creating at home. I surprised my partner with this smoker as a gift and we literally could not wait to try it out! This smoker is fun, easy to use, and good quality - the stainless steel chamber is a must to avoid a lingering burned wood smell in your cocktail. If you are into cocktails, or looking for a gift to give someone who is, this is a great addition to the bar!

It’s all great except for there was no butane in the torch lighter and they don’t tell you you’re going to have to go buy butane

Was a hit with my in-laws for Christmas. They are social drinkers and will enjoy this.

The best feature of this smoker that sets it apart is that it doesn’t protrude into your cocktail glass. If you use large ice blocks or spheres, the other brands may be in the way, but this one rests on top of the glass. The smoke makes for a nice flavor and great presentation.

Bought as a gift for someone who has everything. It was a big hit! I will definitely buy more for my hard to buy for people!
