Worked great!
I had to get creative with my mounting options but I knew that when I ordered because I have metal deck rails and the posts were just barely wide enough for the brackets. I was able to make it work with the mounting hardware provided and my string lights look great around my pool and deck!

Easy to install
This was exactly what we needed to put up lights on our deck. Unfortunately 5’ was not tall enough but luckily it comes with two pieces that can be combined to give you a taller option. Have had it up for a few windy days and it’s held up nicely.

Game-Changer for Outdoor Lighting – Perfect for Any Space!
I recently purchased the 2 Pack 5 Ft String Light Poles, and they have truly transformed my outdoor space. These light poles are an excellent addition for anyone looking to enhance their deck, patio, or garden area with stylish and functional lighting. The quality of these poles is impressive. They are well-built and sturdy, able to securely hold my string lights without any wobbling or sagging. The 5-foot height is just right, providing ample clearance for the lights to shine beautifully without being intrusive. What I love most is the included fixing clips and suspended base. These thoughtful additions make it incredibly easy to set up and adjust the poles to the perfect height and position. The freestanding design means there’s no need for drilling or permanent installation, which is a huge plus for those who want flexibility and convenience. The poles are also very versatile. They work perfectly for a variety of outdoor settings, from casual backyard gatherings to more formal events. The sleek design blends seamlessly with any decor style, and they add a touch of elegance to my outdoor setup.Shipping was fast, and the poles arrived in excellent condition, well-packaged to prevent any damage. Assembly was straightforward, and the instructions were clear.Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The 2 Pack 5 Ft String Light Poles offer exceptional value and functionality, making them a must-have for anyone who loves outdoor entertaining. Highly recommended!Five stars without hesitation!

Nice looking and sturdy!
These poles have exceeded my expectations at their price point. They have a nice durable matte black finish, their four sections screw together smoothly with an interior threaded piece so the edges meet seamlessly, and the assembled poles are very sturdy for their diameter. The total assembled length measures as described, and if you want a shorter pole for some reason, they can be used with one or both of the middle sections removed.I'm actually using them as support poles for a light sun shade cloth, on a balcony with a wood half-wall where the only option was to mount something on the interior corner post of the wall; they only bend slightly in the direction of the shade cloth, even with a fair amount of tension. I would love the option of additional mounting brackets to add strength, but it's been over a month with no issues so far, even on somewhat windy days. If you're interested in them for string lights, they'll definitely be more than strong enough, as long as you install the brackets properly on a good supporting material. I can't yet speak to how well they resist rusting, as mine have only seen a light rain on one day so far, but I'll update this if that turns out to be an issue. Two thumbs up on these!

Perfect solution even for heavy outdoor lighting...if only they were the same.
Were it not for significant differences in the product (lower quality (thinner) vs. higher quality (thicker)), this would have been one of my best purchases on Amazon ever! The first batch of poles arrived in a small box, in 4 sections each, which then screwed together by inserting one into the other and twisting. They're lightweight but solid enough to support the 120V heavy duty lighting strings (the kind you see in outdoor bar patios) we have. You don't need one for each section of railing on a deck. I skipped a post, spaced them about every 12' or more. As a bonus, they have a machine screw that discretely secures the bottom of the pole to the bottom bracket. They also have a set screw on the top bracket to add more stability. In short, you can't just lift these things out of the brackets once installed. They're very secure. These poles are really well thought out. When I ordered a third set for the other side of my patio, what arrived was a more heavy duty set that was powder coated. The joints have neatly machined threading that make for a perfectly tight fit. My only complaint is that now I have two poles that don't match the other four. And I wonder about the first four poles. Did I get something cheaper than I ordered? Or did the seller run out of the cheaper poles and send me the nice ones that were in stock. All of them work great, but the seller should communicate why there's a difference or avoid (entirely) sending two different types of poles.
