I was a bit skeptic due macarons delicate shells and also I was reading some not positive feedbacks on other silicone matts (macarons could stick to them) and general question about baking macarons on matts.However after a trial batch I found them visibly better than from ordinary parchment way, shape was nicely rounded and "leg" bigger.Only one thing I din't quite like - you can make only 6 small macarons on this sheet (12 halfs) and price.

If you want your macaroons to all be the same size and not worry about greaseproof paper then this is right for you. It's easy to clean afterwards too.

I bought 2 of these items after reading the positive reviews and really wish I had saved my money.Yes, you can get the macarons the same size but you do not get the crisp base of a classic macaron.After much reading on the subject of macarons and practising, the best way of baking perfect macaron is by baking on a sturdy, flat metal baking tray, lined with baking parchment,(not greaseproof paper), with circles drawn on the paper.So if you are keen to make macaron, save yourself the money, go online and search macaron templates, and you will find some sites that let you print off macaron templates which you can put under the baking parchment when you pipe the mixture.When they are cooked, pick up the baking paper sheet with macarons on, put on cooling racks until completely cool and they will be the perfect size and come off the sheet easily.These silicone sheets will be relegated to the bin.

Good idea but tricky to clean afterwards

I am a chef with more than 30 years experience in all aspects of baking. You follow the instructions you wont go wrong. This is a great product , I will be ordering more mats very soon.

Reasonable. Small mat is better than the big mat but would have been better with two small mats.

Was concerned at first how floppy the trays were but they made perfectly shaped macaroons. Would recommend this fabulous product!

Perfect product. But it is easy to go outside the circles. Recipe book included with a basis recipe.
