I bought the kiwi scented ethique shampoo soap since I travel light and it doesn’t need to be in the quart bag for TSA. It is gentler than the liquid shampoosI have used before and definitely does not dry my scalp as other shampoos did so I am using it regularly. It has no fragrance that I can tell and I am fine with that. It is a chunky bar, a bit smaller than I thought, but enough of a cube-type that it fits easily in your hand and dries solid without dissolving to softness. I know it will last a long time with shampooing every couple days. Thanks for an excellent product!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My hair responds well to “repair” care even though I don’t use products, color, or heat on my hair. I think the pictures are misleading because these new moon-shaped bars are huge! I have oily hair that smells nice and is soft after using, and doesn’t feel greasy or heavy. I follow-up my wash with the Wonderbar conditioner from Ethique. I actually prefer the blue Hydrating bar for myself but the pink Repair bar works really well for my 6yo who has normal, fine hair. Both of us have fresh clean hair after using either bar and I love that it rinses out so easily to shorten bath/shower time.

I've been using Ethique shampoo (either the pinkalicious, clarifying, or volume) bars for a few years now, and I will never go back to regular shampoo. I was really nervous when i first switched (I switched to try and reduce my plastic waste etc.) because I was worried bar shampoo wouldn't clean as effectively and would leave a residue. I have very fine, thin, oily, straight hair. This shampoo gives me the best lather, even better than conventional clarifying shampoos, even though it has much healthier ingredients. My hair gets perfectly clean without stripping it. I wash my hair every other day and use much more product than is technically needed (I just love a ridiculous amount of lather, but it will clean just fine with much less), and it lasts me about 2 months. I love that they are cruelty-free (a non-negotionable) and caring for the environment!

Lathers well. The bar holds together and doesn’t crumble. It Lasts a fair amount -2 long haired people using daily and after a month. 1/3 of the bar still remains. The Smell is mild. Doesn’t leave any scent. Could get away with being labeled “scent free”. Cleans as well as any shampoo I have used liquid or solid.

I have thick, coarse, curly, dry hair. I need moisture, frizz and curl control as well as a detangler. Normally I have lots of hair in my shower after washing not to mention the tangles. I read all the reviews before trying this. Was disappointed that some said it didn't last or lather.I just wanted something to take on my vacation for two weeks. TSA has the liquid restrictions and I was going to have to check a bag just to take enough conditioner/hair products for two weeks.My problem has been solved. I now have a shampoo and conditioner [ as well as a leave in bar). I tried this to be certain of the results before packing. This has been a blessing. No more tangles, my curls now behave, my hair is soft and smells great but not over powering. I even used the blow dryer to speed up the drying process. I never did this before unless I would flat iron just because I would look like einstein before the flat iron... even with product!Now I have the hair I wanted. The shampoo lathers well. Just wet your hair and the bar and lather up!The conditioner works great. I usually use alot of conditioner just to get through my tangles. With this conditioner I just rub this bar over the front and back of my wet hair after shampooing. When done I rub a little in my palms to get a very thin/light coating then finger comb it through my hair. I have a dry scalp so I make certain tu use some on my scalp, shower then rinse.I use the leave in conditioner the same way, but do not rinse.I use moisturizer shampoo and alternate the next shampoo session with a frizz control bar.Just twice a week and my hIr already feels and looks great compared to what it was.I bought some for my friends who needed the volume control instead of the moisture and frizz. Each one loves it and saw good results. One of them has difficulties holding bottles and washing her hair, but she said the bar was much easier for her hands to use.This is my new product! No more expensive shampoos and no more recycling bottles. I feel I am using less product than the bottles, so this is a fraction of what I was paying!The other savings is a plus as wel.. it goes right inside my personal item.. no more worrying about checking a bag just to get 2 weeks supply of hair product!!

My sister said that she liked the bar but she said that it runs out so fast with people who have really long thick hair. The price I don't think is worth it for how small the bar is. I don't think I would buy this again.

I was very skeptical of using shampoo and conditioner in the form of a bar. However, I had heard a lot of good things about the quality of Ethique and decided to give it a go since I've been on a journey to find shampoo and conditioner that works for me. Needless to say, I am beyond happy that I purchased these products!! They smell sooo good (almost like Sweet Tarts even though the packaging says it's suppose to be sparkling pear) and the shampoo lathers very well with only about 4 swipes of the bar on my wet hair. The conditioner also has a surprising amount of slip, though it takes a moment for it to start working (I combat this by applying it as evenly as possible and then clipping my hair up with a claw clip as I finish the rest of my shower and rinse only before getting out). It's worth noting that I have very fine, dry hair with varied textures between straight and wavy. I also have a very sensitive scalp. Given that, I find that this product truly does hydrate my hair and leave it soft and shiny without weighing it down and it also hasn't made my scalp itch at all. I am completely sold. My hair has never felt or looked better. I highly recommend this purchase and I myself will now be a loyal costumer so long as this line doesn't get discontinued! (P.S. if you like to avoid coconut oil like I do, this specific shampoo and conditioner combo does not contain it).
