Billed as a sequel to the popular 2004 Mean Girls , Mean Girls 2 is almost more of a remake of the original film than its sequel. The actors are new, with the exception of Principal Duvall (Tim Meadows), but the stereotypical high-school atmosphere of cliques and bullying is certainly the same. This time, "the Plastics" clique of popular girls that rule the school consists of Mandi (Maiara Walsh), Chastity (Claire Holt), and Hope (Nicole Gale Anderson)--three extremely self-absorbed girls who butt heads with the ungainly Abby (Jennifer Stone) and new transfer student Jo (Meaghan Martin). In a different twist, Jo befriends Abby because Abby's father bribes Jo with the promise of paying her college tuition. Similar to the first film, Jo sets out to infiltrate the Plastics' inner circle to sabotage them, but is seduced by the benefits of popularity and begins to lose her way. This second film is not as funny as the first, due in large part to the absence of Tina Fey's wit, but there's still plenty of sarcasm and humor. Meaghan Martin does a nice job with the leading role, Jennifer Stone is quite believable as the eclectic, shunned artistic type, and if the performances of Nicole Gale Anderson and Claire Holt seem shallow and overdone, it's likely because the characters they play demand it. The film is not really a continuation of the Mean Girls plot, but Mean Girls 2 is a solid movie that highlights the value of true friendship as well as the serious problems of bullying and social cliques plaguing today's high schools. (Ages 12 and older) --Tami Horiuchi The Plastics are back in the long awaited follow-up to the smash-hit Mean Girls… and now the clique is more fashionable, funny and ferocious than ever! Confident senior Jo (Meaghan Martin) begins the new school year by breaking her own cardinal rule: don’t get involved in girl drama. But when she sees timid Abby (Jennifer Stone) preyed upon by Queen Bee Mandi (Maiara Walsh) and her minions, she takes sides in a viciously funny girl-world-war that turns the whole school upside down. Review: "A Must-Have for Fans of Comedy and High School Drama! - If you're a fan of iconic teen comedies, Mean Girls is an absolute must-watch! The film is hilarious, witty, and filled with unforgettable one-liners that will have you quoting it for years. The performances by Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, and the entire cast are top-notch, each character perfectly capturing the chaos of high school life. The writing is sharp, and the story strikes a perfect balance between comedy and clever social commentary. It’s not just about the drama of high school cliques, but also about identity, friendship, and finding your own voice. Whether it's your first time watching or your hundredth, Mean Girls never gets old. It’s a perfect blend of humor, heart, and just the right amount of “you can’t sit with us” attitude! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good laugh and a throwback to those high school days! Review: Bien - Bien

Glad I didn't went to the movies
I bought this double feature because I was excited to watch the second movie. The discs are as were expected. The movies, I'm glad I didn't pay any money on streaming or buying the second part at a retail store. O definitely was not impressed with the second movie.

Dad says "Totally ruined an opportunity for a good movie"
I may be 50 plus but I thought the first Mean Girls was pretty good and well done. I would not suggest taking any interest in this sequel. It bad from beginning to end and not anything like the first one. Dad and daughter was greatly disappointed. Daughter because she expected something like the first movie she loved, Dad because I actually spend money to buy this sorry movie.
