Cleared Water in a Week!
This filter requires the pump to make it work. If you do not have one, you will need to purchase one. I was not aware as when I asked questions it said it came with everything needed. We had to go back and purchase the pump and hoses. It did not come with clamps for the hoses but my husband was able to use items we already had at home. We do not have any leaks. So far it has been running about two weeks. Our tank was very green from the algae build up. It took about a week to clear our 300 gallon stock tank up once it was set up. Other reviews mentioned the UV light quit working. I will update my review if it does. The price was fair and we are pleased with it.

Install and done, works perfect
Wanted to upgrade on my fishpond filter.Works amazing. I haven’t had to clean my pond out once since starting it up.Normally, with the smaller filter, I would have to drain all the water and refill, but this filter does the job. It made it through spring with all the pollen.Easy to use. Size is also OK.The only thing I noticed is the hoses seem to link, but I put a hose clamp on it and hadn’t had a leak since

Read directions.
Cleared my algae pond infestation within 3 day. I can see the bottom and how active the fish is. It’s only been 3 weeks and haven’t cleaned it yet. The model I bought is taller and have bio ball at the bottom, I did not know that. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Make sure you read the directions when taking it apart.

Best filter yet
This is the 3rd filter I've gotten for my 1000 gallon pond. It is heavy duty. My pond water is crystal clear so far. It has a self-cleaning feature, and while I do use it, I don't think it cleans the filters very well, so I still remove them and rinse every few weeks. It has so far cleared out the spring algae bloom. I'm pleased with this purchase and my koi are happy.

Shop somewhere else!!
I would put zero stars but that’s not possible, I bought a 2100 GPH from Amazon resell it arrived would set up noticed a missing parts, but I had some old fitting in my workshop so I made due. Turns out the UV light doesn’t work and the brace around the middle was cracked. A lot of the parts this are made of cheap plastic that I’m sure we’re not last long. I should’ve just bought brand new because it was like four dollars more as I just noticed…. Shop elsewhere.!

Worked great
The media could not be loaded. I dig a pond about 3 years ago and could never keep it clear. I kept saying to myself, why don’t they have a thing like a shop vac that has filters in it!? Well this is essentially that. You need to hook this to a pump. I didn’t know this at first and assumed it was a filter and a pump (oops). Not a problem as I just added it into my waterfall pump’s circuit or piping. I kept it close to the pond to see how it would work before I worked on running tubing and hiding it. My pond cleared up to the point that you can see the bottom (over 4 feet deep) in about 5 days. Unreal.Once I knew it was great I bought long lengths of tubing and hid the unit behind a tree. So far so good.

PLEASE READ. Great inexpensive filtration system
What a great inexpensive filtration system. To all of the people that left negative reviews because of leaks. Really? Mine leaked when I first plugged it in and I thought oh my gosh what am I going to do now? So it came to me. Tighten it up. Guess what? And to my surprise it stopped leaking . Imagine that. I was using something similar that was home made. This is a really nice set up. I have a 400 gallon Koi pond and am using a 1600 gph pump with a 3 ft waterfall and using a turtle that flows water out of his mouth and a center riser. I am using the one inch tubing. Hope this helps

Good but far from great
I’ve had this pump in my 275 gallon pond for about a year now and the pup itself works well. The light finally gave out. I assume the bulb burnt out so I picked up a replacement and it turns out it’s the entire light fixture. My concern is that now. I will have to replace the entire pump or purchase an external UV light for the pond which defeats the purpose of having an all in one.
