Q: Does it harm gems or diamonds in jewelry?

Diamonds and gems are made of harder material than the silver plating solution - so, no it won't harm the stones in your jewelry! Just follow the instructions on the bottle, and to bring the shine back to your precious stones, rinse your jewelry in warm (not hot) soapy water, and dry off with a soft microfibre cloth!

Q: Is this suitable for jewellery or will it turn black when worn in contact with skin?

I tried it on a silver-on-brass tray but it didn't work for me at all.

Q: Can u use this on stainless steel

shines poss any metal but not worth the cost.Only helps cover loss of silver plate but not fully.

Q: Would it be OK for tarnished cutlery?

There are two types one just for cleaning tarnished cutlery and one that replates it when it is worn. They are both excellent but a word of caution wear gloves or you will end up with black fingers and it takes ages to fade !!
