Great camera
I used this to replace an OV2640 on an ESP32-CAM board I have. Great video quality. Video in the dark is to be desired. I guess I need to add IR when dim or no light is detected.

Gets incredibly hot and image is bad
The image only last for 20 seconds before the camera gets hot and the image becomes distorted. I put a heatsink on it but that didn't really help. I can not recommend this item. Zero Stars

Camera would randomly shut down.
The camera would shut down.It had a heart sink as suggested (not included)When it worked the resolution was good.I think I got a opened package, cause the camera was not in any anti static bag.It is going back to amazon.

Eh
Perfect for seeing which child is letting the dog in the couch yet vehemently denying it. Only requires masters in IT to program.

Works with ESP32 cam, but very slow refresh
This cam needs a very fast ESP32 with cam connection in order to enjoy the increased pixel rate.

Over heating causes damage
As seen in the attached image. On the left side the image becomes purplish and only gets worse with time. I know its a heat issue because I can solve it with either burning my finger on the back of the camera module and the problem fades away as the module uses my finger as a heatsink. Or I can also relieve the heat problem with the metal on the ESP32 S3.

Needs heat sink
For continuous video, I added a 1x2 inch aluminum plate to dissipate heat. 160 degree lens. I wish I could find a 70 degree lens!
