SASH Window Blind Pole Hook Polished Solid Brass

We have had new sash windows - which open, unlike the old ones - and I needed hooks, to mount on oak rods, to pull down the top windows. Ordered two of these. They are actually solid, proper brass (not foreign lookalikes), they are exactly what I needed and wanted, and came within 24 hours or so of being ordered. Amazing service. If you phone them you find it is a real, British, company with a person at the end of the telephone who is keen to help. All in all FIVE STARS ALL ROUND!!!

Purchased to replace the plastic one of these that was supplied with my loft ladder than broke. Perfect for the job. A lot easier to use than bendy plastic. The item is nice and solid. However, with only 1 screw hole it does need to be altered, adding a second screw hole or using a grip fill around the top, with a month's use the hook came off and screw failed. The hook head is too big for a standard broom handle, I found it very hard to find a pole with a bigger diameter under £30 a length. Overall it looks nice and does the job after a bit of alteration.

This is a nice brass hook and "out the box" it seems fairly well made. The casting isn't perfect, but the significant flaws are all on the inside where they don't matter much and shouldn't affect it's function at all. There are a few scratches, no doubt caused by the supplied screw. But they're barely noticeable. The supplied screw on the other hand, is a very different story. It has easily the worst Pozidriv head that I have ever seen. Completely off centre. Fortunately you can, and should supply your own little brass screw. It is sadly all too common that a product is decent, but the supplied fixings are the cheapest junk that you can imagine. It is a minor issue, but manufacturers should really do better.

Just what I wanted. Well made and appears to be strong so won’t bend. I have put it on a pole just long enough so that I can retrieve items that have slid to the back of my pick up truck!

Nice product and works like a charm for our double hung windows as I am too short for some windows to reach the top.

Beautiful brass from England that looks like it will last for hundreds of years. Used an old mop handle (sawed off the mop part) and sanded the tip until the hook was very snug and tight. I didn't need to use the screws to fasten it because it was so tight on the pole I might have difficulty removing it. An alternative might be something used in boating that looks similar. But we like this one very much.
