Eric Clapton: The Definitive 24 Nights

Beautiful boxed collection. It was at a great price point too. My fiancé was thrilled with this as a gift. Great Eric Clapton collection!!

I have around 2000 cds and I can say this might be my favorite. Eric Clapton, enough said. Very satisfied with the item, and service was very professional.

This is a superb recording

Got the box set in the mail today. First off, the packaging is impeccable! Breathtaking box that has all of the goodies. First off, a beautiful photo of Eric.Second, the most beautiful of books you can imagine with great notes from the shows, from the artists involved and from press. The book is very detailed with what you are getting in the set.Third, a very well thought out housing for the CDs and Blu Rays of the 3 different lineups. The Rock, the Blues and the Orchestra. Just a nicely laid out product.We put on the first Blu Ray. The Rock nights. I set up the Surround sound for the ultimate in listening. SO I THOUGHT! THIS TO ME IS IMPORTANT! The surround mix is a disaster! As much as I tweaked, the drums and some of the band are lost! Loads of keys and backup vocals, but just dismal! After a few songs I just set the program from the Blu Ray to the Stereo mix, and it was AMAZING! Everything is rock solid in the mix and even tho it was Stereo, my surround system created a nice bit of surround sound that was 90% better. So, am I upset, and do I feel ripped off? NO! This is simply amazing!We watched, very loudly to the ROCK Blu Ray, and as I was chomping at the bit to get to the Orchestra show, we went there next. (I have to admit, I am so tired of Eric's blues music I could scream. He just plays it very safe, and after watching the rock and orchestral shows here, I am convinced he just doesn't care anymore. I feel he is just phoning it in at this point.)Anyway, the ORCHESTRA shows! Unbelievable performances and the 29-minute CONCERTO FOR GUITAR AND ORCHESTRA is worth the entire price of this set! The performance is incredibly inspired and well worth the 30 year wait for a proper release.I haven't watched the Blues shows Blu Ray, and will probably only watch it once just to do so. As I mentioned above, not my cup of tea. I am sure it will be met with great joy by many.I can't recommend this set enough. Eric was absolutely at his best during these years. His playing and vocals were stellar. He was at a peak!! The set is pricey, but worth it!! I'm glad we pre-ordered this one!

Great live sound

This collection of music is fabulous! I have all the Eric Clapton CDs, so I was worried this would duplicate what I already own. It is not. The mix and quality of the recordings are superb. The transitions from one song to the next are also excellent. The cost is a bit expensive, which gave me pause to purchase this product. I have no regrets now that I have listened to the CDs. I have yet to watch the videos. The book is well done and has very high-quality paper and binding.

A testament to what great professional musician's can produce with a highly skilled lead, truly a master...and kudos to the production team also, well done.
