Perfect replacement
I went with this because the dimensions were near perfect for an old Kelty Tecate hydration pack I have; I didn't find many other options for a narrow 2l. I've had some experience with this company's bike water bottles (Polar) and assumed their bags would be good too. I was not disappointed, this bladder is far superior to the one I was using before. The simple closure at the top hasn't had any leaks. The insulation works well. The shutoff at the bite valve is easy to use with gloves. I was a little worried about the hose length because it seems to be a little short, but I've had no problem with the reach. Overall I'm happy with it. I do wish it included a dust cap, but that's my only gripe.

Water stays cold
Awesome product for the price. I added 10 ice cubes before leaving for a 10 mile hike in 90 degree weather. The cold water lasted about 6 hours and was super refreshing. Definitely recommend for hot weather hikes!

Just what we needed for winter hiking/snowshoeing, and hot weather as well.
Our standard packs/tubes ALWAYS froze. Very surprised how this performs in CO weather, one spike-hike we did was around +1 degrees. We put room temp water into them and no frozen teeth and really didn't get too cold at all. We also used this recently on a day time hike where the temp was nearly 90. Put cool water in there and stayed cool over +9 miles.

Only one thing keeping this from 5 starts
The twist to lock/unlock valve is pure crap. They have a newer valve design now that most of the other bladders come with but not this one. Due to this sad oversight, I had to pay an extra $9 to get a decent valve.

Keeps Water Cool
I needed a new hydration bladder for my cycling pack, which is 15-20 years old. The size and shape of the replacement bladders available from the manufacturer of the pack don't fit my old pack, which is still in excellent condition. I looked at literally dozens of replacement bladders and purchased this product because it was the only one whose dimensions and configuration most closely matched what I needed. The fact that it's insulated is a bonus. Typically, I fill it half full of water the night before I plan to use it and refrigerate it. I add a couple of large ice cubes in the morning and top off the water. If I use it in the cycling pack, I'll have cool water for 2-3 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. If I put it an insulated bag in a larger pack for hiking, the water will stay cool for about 5 hours with temperatures in the mid-upper 70's.

Keeps water COLD for hours!!
I picked this up to fit in my Salomon vest. I liked the idea of this one better than the Salomon brand because of its insulated properties. It fit in my vest perfectly, but the best part is it kept my water ice cold for hours.I filled it up at 0500 in the morning for a 15 mile trail race. By the start of the race at 0700 it was already 80 degrees out with 90% humidity. I drank from my Solomon flasks first, but by 1000 I was hitting the bladder. I fully expected it to be warm, especially since it was against my back through the vest. But that water was still ICE COLD after hours and being against my hot back.Couldn't be happier with the purchase. I highly recommend this bladder.

Tube and Bite Valve seem non-standard, silicon bit failed early.
Typically bite valve silicon last atleast a year for me, this one failed within a couple months. The tube is a different width than either my camelbak or osprey bladders, and their byte valve silicons don't work on this valve.other then that, it's very nice.
