I have a 19 Silverado rst. I was able to self program 2 of these remotes. As long as you still have an original key for the door you can program them yourself. My original fob was run over and not working. All buttons work properly and it does sense proximity as it should. I did not yet cut the door key and probably won’t. Not sure how much that costs. The original door key does not fit in the new fob. Feels sturdy.

truck only had one key fob when it was bought, took this fob to the dealership when buying and they programmed it in 10 minutes and it works great
