Meike 85mm f1.8 Autofocus Full Frame is a good deal
When the package was dropped off I noticed that the lens is well padded with foam inside the box. You get a lens hood and two caps. The front cap is one of the pinch mount ones, not the cookie cutter cylinder you get with some lenses, and the rear cap is twist on, not slip on. The build quality is great as with all the Meike lenses I have seen. F1.8 is nice and fat, and the lens is surprising light for its size. There is a nice large focus ring near the front and a switch for AF/MF. You can turn the focus ring when it is in AF if you need to fine tune. When I mounted it on the camera it was smooth, a good fit. FWIW it looks good on the camera. One of my favorite types of photography is macro and I couldn't wait to see what this lens would do. First I mounted a 2.5X diopter on the filter threads and found that I could focus about 5" from the front element. I went spider hunting and got some nice shots. Next I mounted some extension tubes totalling 58mm and got good results. Finally I mounted the tubes and the diopter, and the focus point dropped to about 2" from the lens. I am delighted to see that yes, this lens will macro! Without extension tubes or diopters the minimum focus distance is 850mm. I can focus on my toes :)My conclusion is that this is a great lens for the price.

Absolutely incredible for $200
Upon receiving the package, I was slightly put off by the already opened box, but once I got past that initial hiccup, I was blown away by the performance of the camera lens. I've tested it extensively on both my Nikon Z9 and Z6, and it functions flawlessly - fast and crystal clear. However, there are a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning. Firstly, the lens feels noticeably cheaply made, evident from its lightweight and plastic texture. This raises concerns about its durability, particularly if it were to be accidentally dropped. Secondly, updating the product was a hassle, especially for Mac users like myself. I had to resort to using my wife's Windows desktop due to the lack of user-friendly guidance on the poorly developed website.Nevertheless, overlooking these minor inconveniences, the lens proves to be an outstanding product, delivering exceptional performance that surpasses its shortcomings.

The new plastic fantastic
The lens feel definitely reminds you that the cost is justified, the feel of the plastic is different from other lenses I've owned and used. However the autofocus and image quality far exceed the expectations of the $200 price tag.The lens does not have image stabilization, there's a single switch for AF/MF. The lens hood is a bayonet style and when mounting or dismounting the hood you wonder if it will be the last time but its held together and with the tight friction fit it give a bit of assurance that once installed it will not easily pop off.Minimum focus is around 3 feet/1 meter, so it won't be capable as macro substitute.Photos taken on Nikon Z8 at f/1.8.

Love this Lens!! Perfect for the Budget!!
Great lens! Love the wide aperture! Super compatible with my Z6! Lightweight compared to my other Nikon F mounts. No issues. Great focus! 10/10. Sure it's plastic, but the quality and color are amazing!! i

Did not autofocus/manual focus well
Great price for this lens but unfortunately I did not like the autofocus as it wouldn't lock onto the subject. Tried to focus manually but had difficulty. Will give a couple more days use but probably will return

Passable lens with some flaws
The image quality was good; has noticeable chromatic abberation; very slow to focus; my copy has lots of grease coming out of the focus ring.

Outstanding Meike 85mm lens for Nikon Z5
The media could not be loaded. This prime Meike 85mm lens is outstanding on my Nikon Z5. I saw YouTube videos complaining about the autofocus and noise, but I have not seen or heard any issues. Can't believe I lucked out with this lens. $199 compared to $700. I'm just starting out with the Nikon Z and the cost of lenses for this Z mount is outrageous. Meike lenses in reviews are always neck and neck with the native lenses. My images are crisp and clear. Auto focus works great for me. Definitely buying more Meike lenses.....35mm is up next LOL

Lens was a used product
The lens I received had obviously been used as it had scuff marks on the lens hood and the lens itself. The glass also had smudges. I have returned the lens for a refund and will not purchase again.
