Capacitor leak; poor quality
Attached this hat to my pi4 and fresh installed a new raspbian OS with no audio cables attached. Left the pi to do it's update for 5 min or so and hear fizzling & crackling. I come back to the capacitor leaking fluid and immediately shut off power. This pi was only powered by the pi itself and not with any other connection to other power, speakers, or DC jack. Will return and buy something else for an audio hat.

Board works well so far and seems well designed
Tested this board with Raspberry Pi Zero W with Moode installed.Using this board to drive a couple outdoor speakers. It works well so far, not sure if it really has a 80w x 80w peak capacity but I don't really have a need to test it.All I know it is able to get the speakers as loud as I need them and the sound quality is great to my ears. 5 stars is also for the fact that this seems to be a nicely designed product at a decent price - screw terminals are pretty good (lots of cheap products will use the inferior spring kind that really suck), and the board provides 5V power to the Raspberry Pi off of its own supply.

Worked great at first, then died
As others have reported, this device stopped working after a few months.

Cool Little Hat
This amplifier sounds great, very clear. It's not super powerful but plenty for some small bluetooth/network bookshelf speakers or a soundbar type application. I ran this on a Rpi Zero w 2 using Volumio, and pumped music through it for several days in a row and the IC never even got warm. The supporting documentation from github was pretty good as well. As a seasoned EE, i can tell the make puts a lot of attention into their layout and it looks professional. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and it will allow me to do the testing I need.

Works, until it doesnt
Worked for 4 days. Stopped outputting sound. Checked my project logs and ALSA can no longer communicate with the device. Tried everything. The other 1-star reviews were right

Beware Beware
My television was connected to my raspberry pi when powered up the amp. now my television is blown and will not power on. There are some wrong connections from this amp to the HDMI ports. Sounds weird but it is true. I am sick to my stomach now. My television was destroyed by a cheap, hardly functioning device. There is also now hardware volume connection. I have returned this item. I suggest anyone reading this not to buy this and ruin your devices.

Worked well initially then phased out..looks to be a capacitor problem
Was using this off and on for a media center project i was doing with one of my old 3Bs unfortunately after about 3 months of use the amp is no longer working. Was working well prior for roughly an hour of playback at a time but now its just dead and looking for an alternative plug and play type of product.

Worked great for a month, then died randomly.
Worked great for a month, then died randomly, no visible damage and the chip initializes just fine however it has no sound output on either channel, it also seems like the 10V supply generated by the IC is dead on the OUT1A and OUT1B channels. Chip was very lightly used with some small 4 ohm speakers in testing, never once was any of the protections triggered nor was it abused in the slightest. Went to play some music after it had sat for a week and just no output. It seems as though it is trying to output something but it ends up just outputting a small amount of DC, no audio. When I mute or turn down the volume all the way the DC goes away so I'm thinking there's an issue in the amplifiers.
