LOVE! amazing first tama experience
i'm 23 and have never had a tamagotchi before. from my understanding there are definitely tamas out there with more complex gameplay, but this one has been an amazing starter for me to ease into raising tamagotchi. it's turned me into a huge fan! the fact that it charges instead of needing batteries makes it more accessible imo. i would say it needs charged maybe every 2 or so days? be sure to use the included cable and don't overcharge it as there's a possibility it could damage the battery, and make it lose charge faster. or if you lose the included cable, at least avoid fast charging cables if possible. i wish there were a bit more minigames on it. some of the games are seasonal, so you have 2 consistent games, 1 game that changes depending on the season, and if you have DLC (angel festival comes with a DLC code and there's a free one available on the website), you can play the minigame from ONE DLC at a time. if you switch out DLC content, it erases content from the last DLC you were using. the shell is beautiful. i love the size. it's smaller so it can function as a watch, but i really enjoy it. definitely get a screen protector, these LCD screens tend to scratch. make sure you buy the correct size protector! i've been playing for nearly 2 months now. it's definitely a bit more of a consistent background game, it probably won't engross you for hours on end unless you're grinding for more in game currency to buy expensive outfits. but i'm okay with that! i have a fun time looking at the animations and checking how my tama is doing. if you have the money, i'd say try out a uni. i'm thankful that i got the angel festival one, it's absolutely gorgeous.

simple cute fun
Initially I wanted the angel festival one but then the monster carnival design started to grow on me. The shell design is a lot more my taste and even fashion style lol. AF was also sold out. Anyway, so I went with the monster carnival one. At first, I thought my package had been opened because of the multiple layers of tape so I mistakenly returned it. Then, I found a review video and the person mentioned all their unis came like that, so I made the plunge and just opened my next one lol. This is my first ever tamagotchi. It was really simple and easy to understand, and anything I didn't know I just googled. My favorite part about it is the cuteness and simplicity. I'm glad it doesn't actually take that much maintenance, its more of a few times a day kind of thing. I used to play a lot of mobile apps, which required SO much upkeep to stay on top of the new updates/items/etc (and not to mention the microtransactions). I eventually quit those. So in comparison, I love how way more laidback and less intense tama uni is. At first it felt a little bit like self-care/therapeutic because it was something that required you to check multiple times a day, and it was low stakes. But then, i got used to it I guess and that feeling went away. I've only had it for a few weeks and I know I'm definitely gonna keep it and keep playing it forever. (adult here lol) I can't wait to get different tamas and see how they act. It's not a very complex game, but it's cute seeing the little different moments you can get. The minigames did get repetitive since theres only 4 (the 3 arcade ones and the monster carnival one). Then again, I'm new so maybe there's more? There's also a monthly event at the arena I aim to try soon. I wish there were more minigames or more complex ones, just to give me a goal to work towards. Quite expensive, but I hope it will pay off in the long run after I raise more tamas. Fun, cute, and simple!

Super fun and great for someone with a job, or kids!
Really fun Tamagotchi! It let's you put the caretaking on pause if you need to work a long shift, and the ability to download things or get free in game items every now and then just by connecting to wifi is amazing! There IS 2 free DLC areas you can unlock via the website right now, Very Berry Land and Tamagotchi Lab. Highly suggest getting them, but be aware you can only use one at a time. Comes with a watch band so you can walk the tama, and can charge with a modern charger! Battery lasts a good while but it doesnt take too long to charge if you just leave it plugged in overnight. Might want a screen protector just in case you drop it. Audio is actually slightly more... echoey than the Pix in my opinion, but I still love it!

So far, the Tamagotchi Uni has been a delight to have. For the price, I think the downloadable content, accessories and seasonal games make for it, because there are always new things and surprises to look forward to. I think it is a well rounded Tamagotchi, and I have a feeling it is going to become a classic in many people's collections as it has a little bit of everything. The physical stuff: It is quite small, however I cannot vouch too negatively for this since it is my first Tama. The buttons are nice and clicky. The wrist band is very stable- there is no risk of your Tama falling out whilst using it. It is also nice and light and easy to apply and put on. However, I realised sweat does build up behind your Tamagotchi if you use it with the wristband (especially if you're walking or doing physical activity!) which gets a bit uncomfy, itchy, and I am concerned that the sweat will eventually ruin some of the writing on the back of the Tama. The gameplay: It's fun and well-rounded ! In terms of neediness, I have found that this particular model makes Tama's which are way less needy, so it's quite hard to kill your Tama. There are 3 minigames ("three".. cough) but one is basically useless, the other two are more fun, with one of the two changing every now and then due to being seasonal (iirc). The ability to download DLC's and other content makes customising your Tama so fun, however, you cannot really interact with other people's Tama's beyond a few speech bubbles- I wish we could connect a bit more in the Tamaverse ! Earning points, to use in the store (to buy rooms, accessories and furniture) is quite tedious because of the lack of games and how little you earn per game, but it's also so simple that it's good for people who are new to Tama's or aren't too keen on difficult gameplay. So to be honest, I can't complain too much. I also wish we could customise more rooms- right now, the only rooms you are able to customise are the main room, and the garden. The bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom remain untouchable. Overall, I love my Uni. It's so cute, so I really would recommend it, especially for a first time Tama. Have fun and good luck to all you future Tama owners ! <3

I received a piece of junk, the box ripped and the device covered in scratches. The LCD was full of dust and the speakers were acting weird. I never imagined it would be in this bad condition. It wasn't even cheap, and I was shocked to receive such trash for the same price as a new one. Even the front cover is wobbly. I will never buy it again.
